Location

The Pacific Beach Hotel sits across the street from Waikiki Beach's best stretch of sand and swimming and right on Waikiki's most happening shopping and dining strip. The Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium and 200-acre Kapiolani Park are about a 10- to 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Fun in the Sun

It was a great time and perfect location. The strip was like being in Vegas without the casinos. The beach was only a minute walk away and the public transportation was the best I've been on ever. Can't wait to go back. THANKS BUNCHES!!!!!

They almost had it... so right

This hotel is a bit older but still very nice, with one of the best restaurants in town, friendly staff, great water pressure (not an automatic in big Hawaii hotels). I had the partial ocean view, very nice room. Here's where they lost me: On checkout day, I found out there was a 20$/day "amenity fee" added to my 8 night stay... about 170$ w/taxes total. When I asked what this was for, I was told it was for the free bottles of water, free internet, and the 50% rebate for the gym guest passes... "Like a resort fee" were the manager's exact words. Here's the thing; the bottles said right on it that they were free, the login website for the internet said right on that it was complimentary and I didn't use the gym while I was there. I don't mind paying for this kinda of stuff but doing it this way definitely felt like a ripoff... So, just so you're warned, whatever you think you're paying for this hotel, add 20$/day.

Great Location, Pool is a huge let down

We were very happy with the value. A few problems but they were fixed by the wonderful staff immediately. (vey slow draining shower, light bulb out, nothing major) Location is perfect but the pool is a huge let down when you want to get away from crowded beaches.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Homeless population is extensive in Waikiki. Tents on sidewalks, at beach and in parks.People sleeping everywere. Very concerning and disturbing. We will not stay in Waikiki again

Great Location -- Nice Staff

This hotel is in a great location -- right across the street from the beach. The front desk staff - Renee was great The pool is very small and cold But for location and value it was fine

Okay for the price

While we stayed at the hotel we dined at the buffet to see the Mermaid show. The food was okay and the show was fun, but still felt like it was missing something. The pillows are basically just the case. No padding to them whatsoever.

Great value

Decent hotel. Clean. Gives you 2 waters daily which was nice. Gave you new pool towels each day, but the pool was closed for maintenance our whole stay. But it was cool bc we took their towels to the beach so we didn't have to use our own! You could probably get away with not bringing towels of your trip! Abc store right downstairs for anything you needed

Great Location

My room had a wonderful view of Waikiki, however, here are the details. When I checked in, my key card wouldn't open the door. So, when I called down to the lobby from the 11th floor, they expected me (the customer) to go back down to get a new key. One morning, I awoke to loud dripping from the ceiling in the vanity area. The vanity chair was soaked. I tried to call both the front desk and housekeeping...no answer for over 5 minutes. So, I went downstairs to tell them they had a problem. When maintenance came to the room to look, he said it always happens. Also, the free breakfast is not really a good deal. The food was not good. The eggs were awful, fruit was poor quality and the coffee not good. And last, but not least, the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were down fluffy at all. No, I would not stay here again...even with a tremendous view. A dissatisfied Customer
