The Pacific Beach Hotel is one of only a few Waikiki hotels with a tennis court and the three-story, 280,000-gallon indoor aquarium is a trademark attraction.

Location and Convenience
My husband and I needed a one or two night stay in order to avoid the morning rush hour traffic coming into Honolulu as I had an all day workshop at this very hotel. We checked in the night before. The front desk upgraded our room; it was spacious and clean. We did not use the hotel amenities. It is within a block of the beach. Lots of shopping and restaurants are available. The parking fee is one of the most reasonable to be found in Waikiki.

Be sure to add in the cost of parking when you compute the cost of your hotel room in Waikiki. I found one hotel that would add on $32./night just for self-parking your car in their garage.

Pacific Beach fun
We enjoyed our stay @ Pacific Beach Hotel. Room was great, Location superb, restaurant a bit pricey but buffet had a good variety and plenty of crab legs. Free Ukelele lessons were awesome. My daughter and I both got it, thanks to Aki.

Pacific Beach Hotel
Hotel location is perfect. Many shops, great restaurants & the beach only a walk away. The BBQ & live music were awesome! We really enjoyed having dinner only minutes away from our room. Janice is one of the waitresses during the BBQ evening time & she was wonderful. She immediately recognized us from the day before, greeted us with a warm aloha & was great to talk with. Her service alone took our hotel experience from pretty good to pretty great. We will definitely be back next year with more family to share with. The only downfall is that a great of young Japanese boys stayed on our floor & many of times we heard them yelling & running in the hallway. When it came to elevators they cramped in & would bump into us & other guests. I suppose it was the excitement lol. TY Pacific Beach for your aloha.

Wonderful trip.
Location, location....location. Easy walking distance of excellent swimming and plenty of options for good eating. Plus proximity to night time activities(song and dance show) on beach. Rooms were clean and spacious with view of the beach from the lanai. Only complaint was that the a/c would not adjust....either max or not at all. That however may have been unique to our room. Readily recommend it and would stay there again. Coming from NY after Sandy's visit it was all a welcome relief.

Perfect Location
Hotel is at the Waikiki beach with a perfect location. You just need to past a street to reach beach. Room was clean and it was quite at nights. There is no shuttle service provided by Hotel and hotel does not have WIFI. These are the cons and pros. I recommend this hotel.

Prime location but...
After a long flight we arrived at the Pacific beach hotel exhausted. Our room was on the 15 'th floor. we found the room to be dirty and noise from the street below was loud. The room had two double beds. After a few hours of sleep, we went to the lobby to request a room with a view and a king or queen size bed. We were told that the room we were in was upgraded and that any further upgrade would cost an extra $160 per night. Big disappointment. The room was advertised to have high speed Internet. It did not have wi-fi, but it did have an Ethernet cable for Internet. The Internet did not work, the reception desk sent a technician up to the room who replaced cables and reset the modem. That did not help so he phoned the Internet provider. In the end, after trouble shooting with the hotel technicians for a few hours, the decision was made to move us to another room. We paid the $10 for a day of slow Internet and when we wanted to renew the connection the next day the server was down! There is a Mc Donalds across the road with free Wi-fi, we used that facility throughout our vacation to communicate with family and friends. Local calls are charged at $1 per call by the hotel. They had two calls added to my bill which were made by the technician trying to repair the Internet connection. Charges were dropped when I objected to them. With a bit of a clean up, replacing the double with queen or king size beds and complimentary Wi-Fi our stay would have been perfect. Location was ideal.

Don't bother with the expensive and unreliable Internet offered by the hotel. Mc Donald's across the road has an excellent free Wi-fi service.

When I first booked this online there was a special where you received 2 free breakfast per each day of your stay but when I checked in they said it wasn't offered online. They referred me to a customer service person but I didn't call because I was on my honeymoon and didn't want to waste my time on the phone. I was sent a survey about the call which I never spoke with anyone, the hotel desk clerk called you not me.
