A local favorite in the heart of Waikiki across from the beach
Comfort meets convenience at Pacific Beach Hotel, one of Waikiki's favorite, locally-owned hotels. Find yourself in the heart of the action on famed Kalakaua Avenue and across the street from the best swimming and sunning stretch of Waikiki Beach. More than 800 rooms offer island-style relaxation and remarkable ocean views. The Pacific Beach Hotel is one of only a few Waikiki hotels with a tennis court and the three-story, 280,000-gallon indoor aquarium is a trademark attraction.

The Aloha Pair
The Best Aloha Ever!
We vacation in Hawaii a few times each year. This time we chose a different hotel and were pleasantly surprised! There's an ABC Store in the Lobby, a Cafe for breakfast/snacks/big salads/best coffee, and the "Oceanarium" Restaurant was fabulous. The self-parking was easy and we felt safe. Really good restaurants in the area in walking distance. The best shopping was at the Aloha Bowl Swap Meet. Don't forget to walk to the nearby Zoo as well. This hotel is restful and quiet considering you are right at the beach. We will return soon.

Perfection in Paradise
This was my 2nd stay at Pacific Beach, and now I will never stay anywhere else. Location central to Waikiki. I had a beautiful view of Diamond Head. Best new discovery: Galexy restaurant on Kuhio, 2nd floor behind International Market Place: $4 breakfast, $12 steak dinner. The Flea Market/Swap Meet at Aloha Stadium has the BEST prices for shirts, sun dresses, etc. Open Wed/Sat/Sun. $12 round trip shuttle from hotel. Plan on 3 hours.

My Favorite Waikiki Hotel
My wife and I stayed here several years ago, and returned because it was our favorite place to stay in Waikiki. I went to Waikiki beach just a few steps from the front door every day. The multistory aquarium inside is amazing, and gives you something to watch while you eat at the restaurants. We ate breakfast at the buffet every day, and the food was excellent. There were a lot of Japanese tourists staying at the hotel, but we found them all very polite, even if some don't speak much English.

If you can get a package with the breakfast buffet included with the room, do it. The breakfast buffet is excellent quality and the price is competitive with anything else available in the area, including the MacDonalds across the street.

Great weekend getaway
The Pacific Beach Hotel is located in the best spot in Waikiki Beach, among other 4-5 star hotels that costs twice as much. While unassuming on the outside, the service was great and the stretch of beach right outside has a barrier made up of large stones. That made for a safe swimming area for when one wants to just relax, and also an area just outside the barrier where one can swim with or against the famous Waikiki tide. My wife loves to shop, and within 5 minutes there are so many shops she can go to shop. The parking, at $ 15 per day during off season that has unlimited leave and entry, is reasonable and convenient for us. All together it is a very relaxing vacation for us. It is great for those who has been to Honolulu many times, doesn't want to do too much sight-seeing or other activities, and enjoys dipping in the ocean.

Money-saving tip:
Short drive from hotel
We recommend eating in the food court of the Ala Moana shopping complex. It is a short drive from the hotel or a short taxi ride, but it has many selections, the cost reasonable for Hawaii, and generally very good quality.
