Nice Trip!!!

First trip to Hawaii. We renewed our wedding vows while celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We could not believe how clean the hotel was as well as Waikiki in general. Dukes breakfast was fantastic!! Did not care for timeshare people set up in lobby of hotel... very aggressive and would not take no for an answer!!! Beach was great, but not much area to sit on !!! The only complaint I have is that there is no Dunkin Donuts on the island!!!! Be prepared to tip EVERYWHERE you go, from the man making omelets at breakfast to the shuttle driver, tour guide bus drivers, tour guides, concierge, activities desk, valet parking, maid service,etc..... also be prepared to get your group picture taken at most tours you go to .... it was fun at first, but after awhile it gets annoying!!! Overall a great trip and would definitely stay at the Outrigger again but would check out other hotels right on the Waikiki beach with more beach area ... such as the Hilton Hawaiian Village!!!

Nightlife tip: Not Applicable

Person at activities desk told us since we rented a jeep to be careful about going out after dark. Told us to be very careful about going out at night .... might be an easy target to the locals to be robbed of everything!!!!

Great Hotel

The Outrigger had the best consigner Mike. He told us and arrange for us great things to do during our stay. The only bad in our stay was we were "upgraded to a partial view of the beach, Instead of our city view". We thought wow this is great. We could not spend anytime on the balconey. We were right above the aircondition unit or something like that outside. It was so noisy. It would have been nice to have coffee or just sit out there. Couldn't stand the noise that distrubed our great view.

dream vacation

I loved this trip. It was clean, the service was great, the food was wonderful. We were on the beach. Close enough to walk to many places. Shuttle services to further locations were great. I would definately return if the opportunity arrises. The only bad thing was the partial ocean view was very partial. I recommend if you want the ocean view do the full, frontal view.

Great, fun hotel

Nice hotel. Amazing location with great dining options in the hotel. Fun crowd. Nice gym. Like most of these Waikiki hotels - it could use a modern revamping.

Outrigger Waikiki

Hotel location was great. Right in the heart of Waikiki. You can walk to any location from this Hotel. Hotel staff was more then friendly and went out of their way for us. Rooms were cleaned daily with a very friendly crew. For the price we paid for we were happy with what we got. Resturants at Hotel were amazing and so was the Katamaran boats that were right in front of the hotel. What a blast. If your into views from your room, I would think twice. You get what you pay for. For 150 a night we got a view of a beautiful air conditioner and peigon traps. We were seldom in our room so it really did not matter to us but I know this can be huge to some. Also the balcony was only for someone on Jenny Craig. I weigh 180 and am 5'06" and could barely fit on the balcony with the chair and table. View aside this was a great Hotel. For a little bit more we could have had a view but opted to use that money for Mai Tais!

Great Time, Great Hotel!

Great hotel in a great location. We had a wonderful time staying at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach. We are not very needy in our travels, but the limited interaction we had with staff was wonderful. They were friendly and very helpful. The location of the hotel is great and having Duke's right there is a bonus. The only negative about it was that the walls are a bit thin. Of course I think we had some noisy neighbors who would often come back to the hotel at 3:30 am, so maybe we just got unlucky. I would definitely stay there again.
