Outrigger Waikiki IS on the Beach!

This was our 2nd trip to Oahu and we choose to stay here again. Last year, we were on the 16th floor- room 1618 and this year the 15th room 1515. Huge difference in the type of room. 16th floor room was much larger but the 15th floor shower included a full size tub and larger toilet area. We booked in March for Sept vacation so as not to be disturbed by renovations. We booked for simple saver, partial oceanview room, same as first time, expecting same but somewhat disappointed with room. We were offered a room on 9th floor but it was closer to city view and same size as 15th floor. We stayed put. There was some hammering noise (reno?) when we were there during daytime but not at night and even though we were straight across from elevators, noise was not an issue. Housekeeping was excellent! Eats? Duke's, Chuck's and Hula Grill to choose from without leaving the property :# Cheesecake Factory next door...what else do you need? J Buffet Margaritaville across street, International Market Place directly across, I'm telling you, best location ever! Shopping? Royal Hawaiian #you need to walk off some of the weight you'll gain) Center steps from hotel too. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Have to mention the pool was great

Hawaiian Family Vacation

Right on the Beach! Had a 3rd floor value room and it had a good view of the beach. It included breakfast coupons which the four of us used on four days at Duke's. The breakfast buffett was great! The activities desk got us a same day rental car very inexpensive. The only downside was the hotel was doing repair work on the elevators, so one was out of action. We would definately stay here again!!!

Awesome Hawaii Trip

Duke's restaurant & bar was great, nice people, walk out to the beach great, lots of shopping, dinning. Great location to most anything, always a shuttle or bus near by as well. The hotel was going thru renovation at the time of our stay, so one day we did not have hot water from 9am to 5pm and we were not real happy about that. We thought they would accommodate us, but they did not. But, overall we had a great stay!! The cleaning ladies were awesome!!!!!! The concierge's need to be more knowledgeable!!! I think it will be an even more awesome place once the renovation is complete! I would still consider it a 4 star hotel!!

Perfect location on Waikiki Beach

Awesome hotel. Undergoing renovations, but not distracting at all. Pool was not open due to renovations, but we were able to use the pools at two other nearby hotels. Duke's is the best. Get there early for a table. Can't say enough nice things about this property. This was our 2nd time staying here and although our room this time was not as good as our previous visit, it was still pretty good. Couldn't get the room we wanted but the staff accommodated us and turned 2 double beds into one HUGE California King bed. It was awesome. Can't go wrong staying at this hotel.

Pretty good hotel

The availability of decent channels on the TV's needs to be upgraded. There are many channels that are a waste of time, and few that are worth watching. Put in a satellite dish that allows viewing decent shows and sports.
