Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort and Spa

Great location! Short walking distance to everywhere. Sunset on the patio with live music and ocean views! Hawaii at it's best!

On this trip to Hawaii, we stayed at the Moana Surf Rider. This has to be about one of the best hotels that I have ever syated at and is located in the absolute best area of Waikiki. As soon as you arrive, the valet took our luggage out of the car and delivered them to the room. Check in took under five minutes and the staff was extremely nice. The room was a little small but the bed was so comfortable. We are thinking about buying the matterss (the hotel sells them) for our house. The valet service was helpful but a little expensive. However, parking is at a premium in Waikiki. I loved the Honolulu Coffee company that is located in the front of the hotel. It is a small cafe, but perfect. The shopping was incredible. The international market which was right across the street was perfect for bringing home souveniers. There was also many upscale stores that I almost felt as if I were on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. I would recommend this hotel!

Everything was great

When we first arrived at the Moana we were absolutely taken away by the beauty of the entrance. It was built in 1901 and it has been recently updated but you can still feel how classic the hotel was. We could walk out to the beach from the pool which was wonderful and we were a street down from the international marketplace to do some shopping. The location was perfect. The beach bar that they have there was great, the drinks were obviously a little pricy but the atmosphere was amazing. They had a band and a hula girl every night starting form 6-8. I would absolutley recommend this hotel to any of my friends and if we went back to Oahu, this is where we would stay.

An absolute sanctuary. Elegance and charm all rolled into one.

Definitively, this hotel is the best one to enjoy and stay in the Waikiki Beach. Moana Surfrider is placed in the same beach, so you don't need cross any street or leave the hotel. You can drink your cocktails or eat something in the beach bar listening live-music while you are seeing the sea with a special atmosphere. Also you have a cafeteria in the street side if you prefer don't walk anything. The room is really comfortable with LCD TV and everything is in very good conditions with beautiful views.

The historic hotel is centrally located in Wakiki. Nice access to beach, shops and excursions. The hotel helped with tours and has everything for all all types of stays (family, couples, friends) and budgets. Updated fitness center and pool is located just off beach but has privacy. Clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel had several weddings there and would consider it when I get married. It has its own indoor chapel, large patio/lanai for reception of outdoor ceremony and the hotel is perfect to takes pictures. As a photographer, it is ideal.

We were very please with our accomodations. We had stayed there in 2001. We were disappointed that there was no bbq in the Banyon court like it was in 2001. We still enjoyed our stay.

Check in desk very efficient and welcoming. Pool attendants are exceptional. Housekeeping not up to par every day. One day very good and another sub standard. Same housekeeping person. Requests for item being delivered from housekeeping inconsistant. Equipment in Exercise room very good and clean.

We spent the week relaxing on the beaches of Oahu--a different beach every day: two days on the North Shore, two days on Waikiki, and beaches on the East and West sides of the island. It was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better trip. We thought staying in Waikiki would be expensive, but it turned out to be very affordable. We didn't want to leave!
