Great Hotel - Perfectly located

Always a pleasant stay. The staff is great. They are over the top nice. The hotel is beautiful. It is perfectly located at the end of Waikiki. Easier to get in and out of than any of the other beach front hotels. Short walk away from everything in Waikiki. The only downside is the room rate, but for the level of comfort and luxury, it is equal to the other hotels in the area.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Avoid eating at the hotel, any of the hotels really. Go to any of the local food places instead. Right across the street they have regular farmer's markets in the evening with great local food at low prices.

Great place!

The hotel was amazing! I have stayed here many times, and all of the different types of rooms are beautiful. Located right on the beach, and right on the main Waikiki strip. The hotel gave us many options for activities, and we wanted to take advantage of as many of them as we could. We parasailed, scuba dived, hiked diamond head, went to the aquarium, lounged on the beach and drove to the North Shore. The hotel was extremely helpful with all of our needs. We loved sitting in front on the rocking chairs, and sitting at the beach bar under the banyan tree. The trip was amazing, and the beds in the hotel are a dream!

"Aloha" spirit

I was back to Hawaii for the honor to receive the "Hawaii Medal of Honor" in place of my late husband. I loved that the hotel gives you the feel to be set back in time. It reflects peace and the aloha spirit. The location is awesome and made it possible for me to catch up with the island visiting all the beautiful places and walking up and down the beach. The hotel made me feel being back home, I miss the island. Mahalo!

Lives up to it's reputation as the Grand Lady of Waikiki

This was my third stay at the Moana. The Moana is a historical hotel with the best location in Waikiki. Service this year was excellent and much improved from past stays. Do your homework and decide what you are looking for. This is not a huge multi-tower conglomerate with a shopping center. It suits the discerning traveler who appreciates it's old world charm along with fine dining and great beach acess.

There are times when the Moana offers it's breakfast buffet complimentary on upgrades. It is oh so worth doing the upgrade for it alone. Really enjoyed the quality, quantity, and service and the view from the veranda can make anyone's day.
