My favorite!

Not only is it one of the most affordable hotel stays in Hawaii but its clean modern and just welcoming. I feel safe, I can depend on the staff to help me with my needs & I love how they have a little "kitchen" in the rooms if you request. The hotel is in the begining of Waikiki so when you want to shop you can start from the begin to end and won't miss a thing, it is also only 5-10 minutes away from the beach, 5 minutes away from all the shopping stores & 1 minutes away from the closet ABC store :)

Good location, bad value

The hotel, while ideally located in Waikiki, was completely lackluster and not a good value for money. The hallways were dark and cramped. The bathrooms were tiny and the bedroom left you feeling like you were in a cheap 1980's movie.

Not A Good Nights Sleep

Nice central location & friendly staff but the beds were rock hard and the blankets were kind of dirty and worn....the air conditioner is too loud and the neighbors doors slamming made for a rough night. Spend some extra $$$ and stay elsewhere.

Never again

Rooms were small, but as a lower priced hotel, okay. However, the room cleaning was poor. They would not clean the coffeepot even when I left it on the sink! The sink filled up on its own from the drain, twice! Parking spots were very tight. Coffee was complimentary in the room only for the 1st day, then you had to pay for the packets. Only consolation was that I only needed to sleep, shower and change clothes there. Will not stay again, no matter what the bargain.

Downtown

No wifi, only a hi-speed cord which didn't work with my small computer. tiny room, staff lost our reservation and made us wait an hour but did apologize.

Save some money few blocks from the beach.

I would recommend the Maile Sky Court if you don't mind walking 10-15 min. to Waikiki Beach. A few blocks down Kuhio Avenue gets a little seedy, but the hotel itself is in an okay location. The staff are courteous, and the accomodations, while not luxury, are adequate and what I would expect for a hotel in Honolulu in this price range.

Very good budget hotel

The sound of closing the doors to the rooms is very loud. It can wake-up guests sleeping in other rooms. But I always stay at this hotel when in Waikiki. It's a great value if you don't want to spend a lot of money! If you're picky, don't stay here. The hotel is very clean but you can tell it was built a long time ago! The color TV was actually in black-and-white and the maid didn't even bother to clean the bath tub after my first day! But hey, I didn't mind.

Don't eat at the over-priced restaurant at the hotel. It's good food, but cheaper restaurants are available down Kuhio Avenue.

I WAS SATISFIED

THE ENTIRE STAFF AT MAILE SKY WERE FANTASTIC AND EXREMELY HELPFUL WITH WHATEVER I NEEDED AND I LOVED BEING SO CLOSE TO DOWNTOWN WAIKIKI(ABOUT A $5 CAB RIDE) THE ROOM WAS A BIT SMALL BUT IF YOUR BY YOURSELF OR A YOUNG COUPLE IT WAS NOT BAD. I ONLY SPENT TIME IN THE ROOM TO SLEEP AS MY DAY WAS FILLED WITH PLENTY TO DO. IF YOU WANT HINTS ON WHERE TO EAT AND WHAT TO DO JUST ASK THE STAFF AND THEY WIILL GLADLY HELP!!!!
