Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head offers stylish and hip boutique accommodations without the hefty price tag. The Zen lobby leads to 51 rooms, each decorated with luxurious upscale simplicity. This smoke-free hotel sits 100 feet from the pristine beach and is one of only three hotels located in Waikiki's prestigious Gold Coast, at the foot of Diamond Head Crater. Set on an exclusive lot, The Lotus Honolulu is surrounded by mature trees, parkland, ocean and Honolulu's wealthiest residences.

Location

The Lotus Honolulu at Diamond Head is a sanctuary in the Gold Coast at the foot of Diamond Head, a 10-minute walk from central Waikiki. Find a mellow stretch of beach 100 feet from the hotel. Perfect staff, perfect views, perfect everything! Hotel was right on the beach, but a nice walk to the shops. Breakfast wasn't impressive, but that was the least of my worries. I'd stay here again in a heart beat!

Very nice room. I would stay on a higher floor to get a better view as trees were in the way. Great service. A little further from downtown but fabulous parks and beach

quiet location but a bit pricey

We enjoyed the Lotus but it is in a quieter area south of Waikiki and therefore the choice of restaurants is limited, not helped by the hotel's in-house restaurant being closed. Room was comfortable and reasonably spacious with a good view od Diamond Head and partial sea view.

Our stay was perfect! A quiet gem off the beaten path. Fabulous dining. Within easy walking distance to shopping, dining and spa. Very private and quiet. Steps to private beach. The staff is professional and knowledgeable. We will definitely stay at the Lotus again!

quiet, comfortable room

I had a lovely stay at the Aqua Lotus and would come back on my next visit to the area. The staff were pleasant, professional, helpful, and seemed genuinely helpful. The room was clean and efficient. The only downside is that the view of the beach is blocked by another hotel and, especially at lower levels, you have a view of the parking lot. I had read the reviews before and got a view of the crater, which was great. The restaurant was close, but it's a short walk to dining options on Waikiki Beach.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

If you are a runner, this place is unbeatable - it's a short walk from a great run around the Diamond Head Crater or up the Crater (4 and 7.7 miles) or a 14 mile loop along the beach.

calmer end of wikiki

Gorgeous, spotless room. We left the glass doors open and closed the shutter doors each night so the birds would wake us up in the morning. Great views, some ocean, mostly park and diamond head. Thanks to Courtney for the great yoga class on saturday!

favorite place to stay in oahu

The staff immediately make you feel welcome at this hotel. Perhaps because it is a smaller hotel, the staff are much more personable than at larger hotels. There is access to a private beach area which is quite small, but you can easily walk to the rest of the beaches around Waikiki. The location is great because it's walkable to Waikiki area stores and restaurants but set away from the noise and tackiness. The view of Diamond Head every morning is beautiful. Rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. My only complaint is that there is no restaurant on site, which would be nice after a busy day when you are tired are just want to grab a bite at the hotel before bed. Overall, a great place to stay in Oahu.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Get to the Saturday morning farmers market at Kapiolani Community College (KCC) early especially if you need to find parking. It opens at 7:30am. Some people claim it's too crowded but that's part of the fun and experience. There's a great variety of food options, locally made treats, and local produce. Vendors are friendly and give out plenty of samples. We walked away full and with plenty of treats in tow!
