Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. Every one was very helpful and freindly. The room was very clean and we had a great ... view. Being right on Wakiki beach was perfect. This was the first really nice my sister I have taken and it was a great experience. If we are ever able to take another vacation together we would want to stay at this same hotel

The hotel had a nice place for breakfast. The rates were not excessive. The menu had whatever you want. There was shopping right in the hotel complex. It also had restaurants for dining and was close to other restaurants also.

We found the hotel to be very accommodating. The staff was most helpful. It was right on the beach and within close ... proximity to transportation. The rooms were not elaborate, but were quite nice. We were able to board the buses for our tours right outside the hotel.

Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, often remembering our names. Concierge always had the answers for all ... questions. Very quick check in and out. Fun special events (lei making and hula dancing, but could have offered a few more)

We were very impressed with the hotel and the staff. The only thing that was a bummer was the wet spot by the sliding glass ... door. I think it was condensation run-off from the A/C unit. The pool and hot tub were nice and they even let you check out towel and beach chairs to take to the beach. The room was super nice and I was impressed with the 42" flat panel tv. Sure beats the normal 20" you get at other hotels.

Get the breakfast upgrade. You won't find anything cheaper unless you want to eat McDonald's for breakfast every morning. The breakfast buffet is pretty awesome and they even have egg white omelets!

Magnificent Hotel and loved the location

This was our first trip to Hawaii. We arrived at the hotel on Sunday night and was pleased with our rooms and helpful ... staff. We absolutely loved the location. We were across from the beach and a couple of blocks from marketplace. The breakfast chef made awesome omelettes and the buffet was full of fresh fruit and other breakfast items. The hotel had several shops to go to, some were very pricey others not so bad. The beds were comfortable and loved that each bed had 4 pillows. Large screen TV compared to most hotels. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant stay. Thank you Hyatt Regency for making our stay a memorable one!!

I got married while in Hawaii, and the Hiatt was a fabulous experience. The only thing that I had a problem with was the ... parking garage was way to small. I felt very bothered while driving my rental car in there. The most tight and cramped parking gargae I have ever expereinced. I thought the hotel as a whole was the best one I have ever stayed in.

Arrived very early on a red-eye and enjoyed lovely spa services and a meal with a view until my room was ready. Staff was ... friendly and accommodating, my room was roomy, the bed was comfy, and everything was clean. I got the ocean view, hoping to hear the waves at night, but the street noise was a bit much for keeping the window open. Still, a beautiful view. The pool and cafe are a great place to catch a little midday shade and tasty drinks/snacks, but the other restaurants were nothing special. The location is great, just cross the street and you're on the beach! There's a lot of hustle and bustle, but I still got plenty of relaxation on the sand, plus took some great evening strolls when things get more peaceful (at least on the beach). go go go!

Great location in Waikiki for the price. The PERFECT hotel is right on the beach, but also much more expensive. This was as ... close as you can get without walking out your door onto sand. The pool was small, but lovely. BEST STAFF of anywhere I've ever stayed - bar none. We interacted with LOTS of staff, and every single interaction was kind, helpful, and friendly. There were some very unkind guests interacting with the staff, and they were STILL kind, helpful, and friendly. Tough to drive anywhere in Waikiki, and the self-park garage was a nightmare. Definitely worth the extra money to valet your car. Wonderful, lavish breakfast buffet included in our package - lots of choices; we didn't get tired of it in 10 days. Housekeeping went above and beyond to clean and neatly arrange our stuff every day. I was disappointed they didn't offer beach umbrellas, but you could borrow towels and beach chairs from the pool area.

I will always love Haunama Bay, no matter how many times I go there. It was my first experience with snorkeling, and still magical to me. Very convenient - the gear rental even had prescription masks and life vests - this made my day; and my first-time snorkeling/not a strong swimmer friend feel comfortable enough to actually see the fish. Bring your own food if it works out. The snack bar was slow, and not great food.

The hotel is located across from the beach and walking distance from great shopping options. The room was nice. Staff was ... friendly. The hotel's gym was pretty up-to-date with their workout machines. Only negative is the $33 overnight parking.

Our experience was just great. I love the location of the hotel, right at the beach. I had paid for an ocean view but ... appreciated the diagonal view which showed alot of the beach area but also a view of the mountain/hills behind. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were just amazing, throughout. We appreciated the ability to use a courtesy room to freshen up after we had checked out, prior to our flights. Thank you for an amazing visit that we hope to repeat again soon!

When we arrived we were tired from flying and our room wasn't ready yet, but the staff upgraded our room at no charge and ... only charged us for 3 days of parking instead of 5. They were very friendly and helpful and checked with us periodically during the week to see if everything was going okay

This was our first vacation as a couple. Our children bought the travel arrangements for our anniversary present. The hotel ... was beautiful and service superb. We went on various tours around the beautiful city, while relaxing with the amenities in the hotel. We would definately recommend this hotel.

Amazing Vacation......Worth Every Penny!

We stayed for 8 nights in late August 2009. The hotel was just as beautiful in person as it was on the website..... which ... we've noticed is rarely the case these days! We had the breakfast buffet every morning and it was worth the extra money. The food and wait staff were both excellent. We didn't use the pool itself (as it was quite small and there were always a lot of kids in it) but we did lay out by the pool and the staff there was great. Only complaint about the pool area was the hot tubs were not working the whole time we were there.... not that you want to sit in a boiling hot tub of water in 85 degree weather, but they have great nightly entertainment at the pool bar and it would have been nice to relax in the spa while listening to the music. The hotel was easy to navigate around and there was lots to see and do. We especially liked the parrots in the lobby areas..... they were so cute greeting us with "Aloha"! Our only gripe was the escallators (which take you from street level to lobby level) were not working on a few occasions. Our room was everything we hoped it would be! The view was definitely Oceanfront, just like advertised. It was also a large room, with lots of nice amenities. We would have liked a microwave. You pay so much for food in Waikiki and often do not finish your meal, it would have been nice to be able to reheat it and eat it later. Our shower did not turn all the way, which allowed the tub to fill with water while we were showering. Not really a big deal, but we didn't like wasting water. The rooms were made up perfectly each day and the cleaning staff was very friendly and polite. We especailly loved the beds.....the best beds we've EVER slept in. We wished we could have tucked ours into our suitcase!!! The hotel was centrally located on the main strip... with tons of nearby shops, restaurants and the beach right accross the street. This was our first stay at the Hyatt Waikiki and we will definitely be back!!!

Invest in a Magic Bullet (or generic substitute) and bring it with you. It's a small blender/mixer/chopper combo. We brought our Magic Bullet base, the blending blade, one of the screw top cups and our own alcohol and mixers. The cups will make enough for two drinks. We made our own Pina Coladas every night and enjoyed those before going out for dinner or our evening stroll. I'm sure this saved us at least a hundred dollars on drinks. The pool bar charges around $10 for the same drink that cost us around $2 to make ourselves. Just remember to pack it all in your checked luggage, as they don't allow alcohol on your carry ons.

Not too bad of a walk 2 or 3 blocks but MAKE SURE You go out around 8:30pm otherwise you will be stuck in a long line to get in the hot nightclubs like Zanzabar, Level4, and the Shack.

Restaurants in the hotel and nearby are expensive, generally, but I found a greasy spoon called "Angles" (I think) a couple of blocks away that was good for cheap breakfast.

They have great Chinese restaurant on site. Also they have Italian and Chinese fusion restaurant on 3rd floor. The bar next to swimming pool was great with A+ service.

There is a killer place for burgers called South Shore Grill. it is about a one minute drive from the hotel, you could even walk, but it would be far. If you go there you have to get the SSG Burger.
