Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach

Stayed for 5 days.... perfect location, clean room, great value for money

Not a big issue, because they were able to correct it immediately, but still there were some long strands of hair on both wash clothes in the room. Aside from that, everything was great!!! They replaced the wash clothes immediately and there were no issues from that point on.

Wonderful location next to Kapiolani park and zoo. Clean, modern decor. Appreciated fruit, yogurt and cottage cheese at breakfast. Many other choices as well. Beach towels. A great value for the price.

Great location, staff very well trained and forward thinking. Very accommodating to our needs and had answers to all questions. Housekeeping was good but forgot to refresh new cups and coffee a few days. The fresh cookies in the lobby bar are amazing and will be buying one of those machines!! Thanks for the great stay.

My wife and I enjoyed the overall experience of this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The valets were always smiling and had good tips on where to go.

The hotel was really nice and clean. The only thing that we didn't like was that our room was smaller than we're use too staying in when we stay at the Hyatt Place. We usually have a living room area with a couch and this just had a bed and a chair.

Excellent location - a couple minutes walk to Waikiki beach.

Upon arrival I was met with very friendly hotel staff who checked me in quickly and assisted me with taking bags up to my room. I was met with a beautiful clean room that had a balcony, huge tv, double bed with sofa bed, a desk and chair, fridge, lots of storage space and a lovely walk-in shower. The vanity and sink area did not have a door but there was an inner door where the toilet and shower were.The bed was a little soft in parts (one side firmer than the other) but this was fine. Breakfast was inclusive but not amazing.Hot food choices were limited but there were other breakfast places close by if you want more variety. The hotel pool was very small indeed and it got very breezy there which meant you got cold in the water and couldn't really sunbathe pleasantly by the pool. Hotel concierge was good but always crowded. Hotel also does not have a restaurant which was a little disappointing but they did have a 24hr bar that served good snacks etc... While staying at this hotel I had booked a few tours which would meet me at the front of the hotel or opposite the hotel. There were plently of bus stops right by the hotel where you could catch the local bus to various places of interest or take convenient Waikiki trolley for $2 each way (I took it to the Ala Moana Shopping Centre which was huge!). The area around the hotel was amazing with Waikiki Beach 5mins away and there were plently of restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, high end stores and casual Hawaiian wear stores. Lots of little markets were dotted around the area where you can get all your souvenirs to take back home but you would have to take a bus/trolley to get to a nice mall. Overall this was a nice stay. I recommend watching the sunset on Waikiki beach at least once where they have hula dancers and musicians before sunset. Also do the Circle Island tour which takes you around all Oahu. I experienced beautiful beaches, food, scenery, parks, ocean views and stunning varying landscapes. Pearl Harbour was also good. Visit the Polynesian Cultural Centre and stay for the evening show. I spent a whole day here and was one of the best days I've ever had on vacation. I recommend this hotel!

My wife and I were pleasantly surprise with how nice and new the hotel is. It is the newest hotel in Waikiki and it shows. The breakfast is alright, but the room, location and service are excellent. We will be staying here again, assuming the price stay's the same.

Got in the night of the Tsunami, but the staff was reassuring. Room was great and as typical in Waikiki hotels, coffee in room isn't free. Be prepared for your room to be made around 2 or 3 PM, but if you're on a tour who cares. Typical hotel breakfast but good to get your day going. However a great hotel, friendly staff, will recommend and stay there again.
