Don't Believe The Picture
First, the hotel that is pictured is not where my sister and I stayed. We stayed in the "Annex" 3 blocks away. The Annex, by the way, is an old apartment building. It is obvious that many of the people staying there are tenants and not hotel guests. Second, I reserve a room with 2 Double Beds. What I got was a studio apartment with 1 double bed, a fold down couch (similar to a futon) and a very small bed. The small bed was smaller than a twin and the mattress was covered in plastic. The plastic would be fine except that every time you move on it you wake up yourself as well as the other guests in the room. I managed to complain my way into free parking but only after I was very insistent. The "manager" tried to convince me that I had been upgraded to this room. I explained to him that I wanted 2 adult sized beds or he was going to give me free parking. I got free parking. Overall, the location of the hotel was fine. We were able to walk to many of the Waikiki attractions. Parking on the street in this area is not an option. There was never a free spot on the street after 7am. I would NOT stay here again. I feel as though I got the 'ol Bait and Switch.

We were "upgraded" to a room in another building about two blocks away, further from the beach. We were very disappointed as we walked into the room. It had a strong musty smell, but the worst was the bathroom. The sink and faucet were dull with scum, the grout on the shower stall floor tile was black with mold, the toilet bowl was stained brown, areas of the door and door frame were dark with grime. Proper cleaning is done, as we were told, when there is a lull in occupancy.

What a disaster! This "hotel" (the term really does not apply) was difficult for our taxi driver to find. With no place to unload or drive up to, our driver had to pull around the corner and drop us off in an alley. No elevator, we had to lug our bags of a flight of stairs to enter the building. No rooms were ready and we were told to leave our bags and wander around for 5 - 6 hours before we could check in. Needless to say, we left without checking in or staying. Don't know what the rooms were like, but if the lobby (with no bathrooms, places to sit, dining facilities or any amenities) was any indication, they were small, filthy and unwelcoming. Avoid this nightmare at all costs.

Simple but Fantastic!
No frills location. Family-owned and personable staff. This place is inexpensive and clean. The only thing is at night, it gets noisy from the traffic outside, but if you are tired enough, you'll sleep right through it. This hotel is only a block or two from all the action in Wakiki. Overall, not a bad place for the price.

The hotel value was hard to beat. The parking was pretty tight and scarce and there was no pool. Also the bathroom was beyond tiny. On the good side the hotel is centrally located and the views from the hotel balcony of the Ala Wai canal are gorgous. all and all i would recomend the hotel to someone who doesnt plan on spending much time in the room.

clean comfortable small hotel but. . .
Recently renovated room complete with kitchenette, but bring your earplugs. Corner room on one of Waikiki's busiest commuter streets. Budget accomodations for those needing economy value. Not for those needing daily linen changes or a nice quiet sleeping environment. Friendly staff.

My Waikiki experience
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and fairly comfortable. The air conditioner was in a weird place and rattled the metal slats above it so it was pretty much unusable. I didn't stay in the room much so over all it was OK.
