THE ONLY WAY TO ATTEND A WEDDING IN WAIKIKI
Beautiful hotel, close to Waikiki Beach, the Honolulu Zoo, the Honolulu Aquarium, Kapiolani Park (jog, walk, see soccer games). The front desk clerk gave us a GREAT room-29th floor/ocean view! we could see the surfers waiting for the sets, many colorful saiboats, and cruise ships. we had a family wedding to attend, in the same hotel, and instead of getting up early, getting ready, and driving into town we decided to stay at the hotel the night before the wedding. And we had absolutely NO WORRIES on the wedding night when we had drinks...just "drove" the elevator up to our beautiful room! EVERYONE-valet, front desk, banquet employees, and housekeeping were very FRIENDLY and accommodating. I am certain that the tourist visiting our lovely islands would not regret staying here.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
shop in Waikiki if you want, but every store that you see in Waikiki is at Ala Moana Shopping Center (Hawaii's largest shopping center) which is near by. catch the bus or a shuttle. i think that the prices may be a little less than in Waikiki.

This has been the best hotel experience I have recieved ever. The rooms are clean!! Great bathroom!! I loooved the bathroom. Beds are super comfortable. The pillows r amazing!!!!! We had a city view room... We got the fourth floor! Our view was to the city but most of it to the garden at the hotel with the fish fountain. At night when I would wake up I would look out and see the amazing palm trees nd the moon!,plus the noise of the water from the fish fountain! I loved it! We had a bit of problem with the t.v, we called and got it fixed right away. Very friendly staff. I will go back to this same hotel in a few months! Mahalo!!!!

The concierge hated her job
If you didn't have to talk to the concierge the hotel experience was great. She was unfriendly and unhelpful. She seemed irritated to answer any questions and we weren't the only ones that felt that way, we actually discussed it in passing with other people that were at her desk. The hotel itself is great, nice pool and nice rooms.

Good bang for your buck
First off, you will not spend too much time in your room. If you do than Honolulu is a waste! The room is great- very clean and very modern. The bed is unreal- excellent sleeps after a day of walking the beach or surfing. The fitness room is decent but small. The pool is good enough but again, use the beach you are in Hawaii not Arizona! Location is good- about a three minute walk to the beach and to various shops and restaurants. My one complaint is the lack of wireless Internet- Hilton needs to get with the 21 century! But overall my wife and I were very satisfied with the hotel. Here is a tip- breakfast at Eggs N Things. It is right off the beach, 3 minutes from the hotel. It was voted one of the best places to eat breakfast in America- amazing food!

waikiki 4/12
The beds were SOOOO comfy, wonderful pillows. We had a view of the beach, only a block awayand an easy walk, and had our coffee (Starbucks downstairs) on the balcony every morning, watching the surfers. The road was noisy, but we weren't bothered that much by it. Walk to shops, restaurants, beach and the zoo! We highly recommend this terrific hotel. Only complaint was no wifi in room.

Good hotel atmosphere
The hotel staff was friendly and the food was very good in the 24/7 restaurant. The hotel location was the biggest drawback. It was a 3 block walk to the beach areas. The staff was friendly. I feel the hotel should have been more forthcoming with their amenities and have a better conceirge service. There was not very good communication.

Best hotel in Waikiki!
The hotel is very clean and professionally run. We checked out other hotels in Waikiki during our stay and concluded that we made the best choice. The nicest part of it's location is that is close to everything but far enough from the crowds and chaos of the beach that we could relax. We'll be staying there every time we come to Oahu! Thanks to the staff for providing such a nice, well-run hotel (the hospitality suite was especially appreciated).

The bus system is hard to use... the bus rides are long and miserable... Wished we would have rented a car for more than 2 days.

Close to beach.
We really liked the location as it was close to the beach and easy to head back and cleanup. We also took advantage of the pool and hot tub on the 10th floor. The staff was great! They were kind and helpful. We stayed on the 6th floor, but next time I will ask for a higher floor. You could see the ocean from our room.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Besides the beach, there is a zoo and an aquarium within walking distance. Plus, the shops and buses.
