The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort boasts 22 acres of roaring waterfalls, huge water slides, fragrant botanical gardens and fine white sand. Local artists Herb Kane and John Young have adorned the inside walls with original works, and there's something for everyone to do in the resort's 10,000-square-foot Super Pool, along with morning yoga and hula aerobics classes. The resort is home to many fish, birds and turtles, and guests can even feed the resident penguins during visits. When it's time for a feeding of your own, no less than 18 eateries include your own personal chef at Benihana or a family-friendly brunch at the Rainbow Lanai. Cap it all off with a Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage, before stretching out on the mosaic tiles of the Mandara Spa's private pool, or immerse yourself in Polynesian culture with weekly fireworks and luau celebrations on the beach.

Neighborhood
When you stay at the Hilton Waikiki Beach Hotel Oahu, which occupies a large portion of Honolulu's Waikiki Beach area, the Pacific Ocean is practically at your doorstep, Next to the resort, guests can travel back in time at Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon, an artificial wading pool built during the 1950s, while the Diamond Head summit is often within perfect view. Head over to the main thoroughfare of Kuhio Avenue for the best Waikiki nightlife, or travel a few miles inland to downtown Honolulu for attractions like the State Capitol and 'Iolani Palace.
Hints and tips
Of the five towers at the Hilton Waikiki Beach, Kalia Tower and Ali'i Tower have their own check-in desks, making it easy to bypass lines in the main lobby.

Choose Rainbow Tower for spectacular panoramic views or Ali'i Tower for the utmost in privacy - including a separate sundeck, swimming pool and whirlpool.

Ridiculously Expensive

The USS Missouri tour at Pearl Harbour was really good, including the full day tour of the island that followed. Also, visited the US Army Museum which had free admission. The Luau is EXCELLENT, really enjoyed it. Of course, hanging out at the beach was really nice. The day we left found out that the Wet n' Wild Water park had just reopened. Also, the Atlantis Submarine Dinner Cruise might be a great option. Walked to the mall every day and enjoyed a few free shows and enjoyed two newly released movies.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Do go to the mall for dining in the food court if you want affordable dining. Also, the Wailana 24 hour Cafe across the street is pretty okay. Also, highly recommend Don Quijote grocery store on first or second day for water and snacks that are very affordable.

Excellent for family getaway

The hotel was huge. The hotel has 7-8 different towers. For fist timer it was confusing but it didn't take too long to formiliariz it. We stayed Kalia Tower. This tower was furthest from the beach. We had mountin view and for the price it was not bad at all. We only stayed two nights we stayed 4 nights in Kona, Big Island before we came over to Waikiki beach area. In overall our experience in Hawaii was wonderful. The areas and the hotels we selected was excellent (I reviewed a lot through the internet before booking). While we stayed in Honolulu We had Arizona USS Missori and Puchbowl & City Tour. It was about 6-7 hours tour. The bus driver give us good city tour with narration. Espicially when we tour Puchbowl the guide was native Chinise Hawaiian (forgot his name and he was volunteer)he knows so much about the war. we were very impressed. This tour was exellent and it was very humble experience.

Hotel Review

Hotel is in a great location on the beach. A short walk away from Waikiki. Room was nice. Ali'i tower is highly recommended. Food in Waikiki is very good. Plenty of things to do, and easy access to rest of the island.

Hawaii

The hotel was Ok but the cost of food was on the high side and parking fees were crazy 24 dollars a day for self parking and lots of luck trying to find a space if you go around a holiday as outside guest visting the Hilton villages take up a lot of the parking spaces making it hard to find a space youself.

July '09 Hilton Hawiian Village Beach Sp

The restaurants on the property were expensive but all meals were of high quality with excellent service. Tours arrainged (Oahu Island tour including the USS Arizona Memorial , and, seperately, a day tour of the island Hawaii) were flawless with excellent, knowledgeable tour guides. The hotel staff were extremely polite and friendly.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Check out the #22 bus route for transportation to great beaches. #23 is closer and will take you to Diamond Head State Park. There are very good restaurants very close to the Hilton complex.
