Fantastic View

We were in 2919 and saw such an interesting variety from window (and they open!). The marina, ocean, park, beach and sunsets were great.

Wake up to watch the surfers

Fantastic view, spacious room and bathroom, and convenient to Ala Moana, and HNL airport. Easy to get to UH campus and not far from Waikiki. Trollie stops right out front. Chart House (a classic) right next door and there are many other restaurants very close by. Enjoyed waling up to see the surfers at sunrise and the view to the West of Ala Moana Beach Park. Could be our new favorite HNL hotel

Hidden gem

Although not on the beach, this Hotel is just west of Waikiki. It sits on the edge of the marina. The hotel is excellent. A great surprise and one of the best bargains in Honolulu. The hotel has a great restaurant and caters to an Asian clientele. I stayed at a "Prince" hotel in Japan and I think this is part of their "group." Well run and a fine modern facility. All the glitz of Waikiki without the crowds.

A Courtyard in Hawaii, yikes!

This hotel has great promise. Soon they will begin a major renovation and the minor flaws they have will go away. They are on the ocean and only 5 miles or so from the airport. The rooms are a little dated, but the scheduled renewal will fix their short comings. I would recommend this place, but you may want to wait until the remodel is over. The location, while not in the major resort area, is excellent. Great value if the prices stay about the same as they are today.

Great experience

I thought the hotel was great, most of staff was friendly, housekeeping was on point. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey 21.50. Liked the location it was near enough to wakiki but far enough to have that peace and quiet that we all need.

Incredible Stay for Great Price!

This is our second time at this hotel and we will definitely come again. The view of the harbour was spectacular and the room spacious and clean. The shopping center and great restaurants were within walking distance.

Oahu Trip

We liked the hotel. However, the location is not closed to Waikiki beach and the major street shopping area. The hotel provides shuttle and the shuttle leaves about every half hour starting 12:30 p.m.. There is a nicer beach next to the hotel ( Ala Moana Beach Park), but you will not be able to rent any equipments there. There is no vendor at this local beach. The Ala Moana Center is nearby. You can do most of your shopping there.

Decent place for the price and location

Location was close enough for walking around the area as parking is a BIG pain in crowded place like Waikiki. Our room was good, but the furniture in the room was a little old. Didn't know 4 stars hotel still uses the old Tube TVs. You only get a 90 deg view out the window due to the way they design the windows. You either get 90 deg left or 90 deg right. They only provide you with 2 bottles of water per day and you gotta pay for extra after that.

A Surprising Value

A few hotels might be more luxurious than Prince resorts, but none of them cover the basics as well: clean, quiet, comfortable, with great service and restaurants. This one offers great ocean views from every room, from Waikiki Beach and the Hilton Lagoon to the Ala Wai yacht harbor, Magic Island and Ala Moana Beach. It gives the best views of the Friday night beach fireworks. It's only a short walk to Ala Moana shopping center with all its dining options, and the hotel's shuttle runs into the center of Waikiki and back every half hour. It might be a 10 minute walk to the beach, but it is on the quieter, less crowded end of Waikiki. The hotel's own restaurant, The Prince Court, is a bit expensive for a buffet, but it is truly a gourmet buffet.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Down the beach, just past the Hilton Hawaiian Village, is the entry to the Hale Koa hotel for active and retired military personnel. They actually encourage the public to use their beach bar and cafeteria, with great food at the lowest prices in Waikiki. They don't even charge state sales tax. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
