Contemporary glamour on the edge of Waikiki
The twin towers of the Hawaii Prince Hotel are architectural landmarks at the west entrance to Waikiki. Dated but windows that actually open!
Nice location (if the beach isn't your primary destination) as it is easier to get to/leave from by car than most of the hotels on Waikiki. Within a short walking distance to Ala Moana Park and shopping center and the ocean side has a nice view of Ala Wai harbor. Strongly oriented towards Japanese tourist travel (but that might be the case for most hotels in Waikiki). The only real downsides for me were that the room interior is a bit dated and the bed is overly-soft. One side note: the window in my room actually fully opened up allowing air and unobstructed views of the ocean/boat harbor. No balcony though.

Endless honeymoon
Wouldn't change a thing.
The view from our room looked like a postcard. One tower faces a beach and marina the other faces Diamond head. Try to book on the upper floors as you can to see more. The restaurants looked great though we never tried them. There was so much to try all around the hotel we got side tracked. The sand at the closer beaches was a bit coarse but the still nice. The shuttle takes you to Waikiki if you don't mind a few more people. The beach wasn't that crowded and not at all pretentious. It is a good spot. Close to restaurants bars and lots of young people who manage to be very unobtrusive. If you plan on doing any activities there is a concierge desk to take advantage of. Tasha was spot on with our bookings.

Short walk from hotel
Buy your water for the day at theABC store across the street. and eat at the Harbor Pub. Sure you should try Duke's and Top of Waikiki, but squeeze in some tasty budget meals as well. Your Taste buds and your wallet will thank you.

Very Nice Hotel
This is a very nice hotel. The room was very clean. The view from our room was outstanding. There was a huge window which opened up to view the yacht harbor and the ocean.The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The concierge was very helpful. The restaurant upstairs served a very nice breakfast. It is quieter than a lot of hotels which is nice. I would definitely stay here again when we return to Honolulu.
