Prince Hotel
Everything was great except that the pool closed at 8pm. Staff, valets, and concierge were all very helpful and friendly. Location is good for Ala Moana mall, though maybe a little far from Waikiki beach for some.

My husband and I live in Honolulu and delight in playing tourist. The rooms were beautiful and the view extraordinary. We were there for New Years Eve and found the Taiko Drum show quite a nice addition. We also has a lovely meal at the Prince Court Restaurant.

quick HI biz trip
booked a hotel/car combo for 4 days in Waikiki for a sudden business trip the day before I left. Way more than I expected, both the brand new Chevy Sonic rental and the large and open ocean view room on the 29th floor. The price was less than either a car or room for the stay, let alone both.

Just OK
This hotel had a 4 star rating but was average at best. Rooms were no better than a basic middle of the road 2 to 3 star hotel/motel, like a Holliday Inn or Comfort Inn. The location was just OK. Good veiw of the harbor if you like looking at a mountian of floating garbage. The harbor was filthy. The Pool was on a windy roof top and was not worth using and from what I could see nobody did. The price was reasonable for the area but it was still not worth it. This hotel does not come close to deserving a 4 star rating.

a below average stay
we reserved a non-smoking king bed room 3 month ahead, however when we arrive me and my wife were giving an smoking room, and the hotel staff refuse to change room for us, after threatening to change hotels, the manager was called and we were change to a double double room, which makes it very awkward for me and my wife to stay, after spending one night here we realise the air-con was not working and we had to sleep in cold, the next day after seening the manager one more time, we finally got the room we reserved, a king bed non-smoking room, however this time there are ants in the room, so we ccan not leave any food in the open for longer than 1 hour otherwise they will be swarmped with ants. the manager did apologze with a cheese plate and a bottle of wine but the stay at this hotel kinda made our first trip hawaii less than pleasant

Great Location
I was on business and really liked the location because it saved me from having to navigate congested Waikiki streets to get to my meetings. And I was close enough to Waikiki to walk to my favorite places to relax. All the staff at the hotel were most hospitable and helpful. Room was very comfortable, except for the chair. I would have preferred a more traditional easy chair. the desk chair was great.
