Pleasant Stay

We just returned from a seven night stay at The Grand Waikikian. We had a very nice stay. Check in was a breeze Our room was very nice. Just as pictured. I would say the partial ocean view, doesn't give much of a view. If you lean over the balcony and look left you can see the ocean between two buildings. But that was about it. The maid service was really good. Told her the first day that we wanted an early service as we are normally out from the early morning to early afternoon. Tipped her a few dollars and after that the service was the same time each day no problem. The full kitchen and washer/dryer were also very handy. Ice Maker in the freezer made a ton of ice. It is a big resort and there is a lot of walking. Everything is overpriced. The Luau at the resort was ok. I think it was two hours long total and it was planned out to the minute. Check out is at ten so we booked an extra day since our flight was at midnight. That was a good decision. Most of the pools also don't get sun light very early as they are blocked by the various towers. I have stayed here three times now and have always enjoyed my stay.

Hilton Grand!!!

From the moment I stepped on the property I was treated as the most important guest they had. The staff attitude everywhere I went on the Hilton Hawaiian Village property was amazingly attentive and caring. All my questions and requests were met with a smile and were accommodated! As a single traveller this made my stay.

Sightseeing tip: In Hotel

Remember to plan your Friday night timing to include the fireworks at 745 pm. The display is one you will want to view. Even my meal in the Bali Restaurant was timed to give me the opportunity to go out on the deck to watch!

Poor check in

Facility was new and beautiful. Was isolated from the rest of the village though. Check in was terrible. Clerk switched us to accessible room, eliminating the nice tub and shower I booked. Had to go back down and switch rooms. I added the parking at check In also. The parking pass didn't work the first time we left the garage. Two mistakes by the clerk at check in. Staff in resort shops were fantastic.
