Terrible Hotel
Do not stay at this hotel, roaches, bad service, I order a cheese plate and the crackers were saltines and ritz crackers. Both nights I stayed there were roaches in the bathroom, I complained to the front desk staff and got no where....The manager refused to refund any monies for such a horrible stay. I am a Hilton Honors member and complained to Hilton.com, which I have never done...this hotel is terrible on every level. After several emails, and calls management still did not handle to my satisfaction.

Alana Hotel
The hotel is nice. Room was spacious/ the bed was comfortable. I did not care for the lighting in the bathroom and the window with the muted glass that opens to the bed. If anyone gets up in the middle of the night, turns on the bathroom light.. it lights up the whole room. The breakfast and breakfast buffet is a joke. $15. for a continental and $25 for a buffet.. Bad food! Airport food is better. On the corner is an awesome cheese burger joint. Great Breakfast/lunch- food and awesome bloddy marys for $5

I visit Hawaii often, as my family still lives there. This is the best place I have stayed in that is located in Waikiki, it's close enough to the heart of Waikiki that you can get anywhere with a short walk, without the overwhelming crowds that can be found in the heart of Waikiki. There are a lot of places to eat, drink, and shop. The employees are helpful and friendly. The only complaint that is that the valet parking is priced pretty high, but seems to be comparable with everywhere else. Overall a great place to stay!!!

Really sucks
Spent several nights here after booking through Orbitz. Was never informed it was a "pet friendly" hotel. That means that they are friendly to pets, not paying guests. The first rude awakening was when I learned at check in that I'd be paying $30 per night for the privilege of parking my car here. I expressed my disappointment, to which they replied coldly, "you don't like it, you can find your own parking elsewhere". Wow! After all that flying, I didn't feel like finding a separate place for my car. I just wanted to get a good night's sleep. Well, that didn't happen, because of the dog they allowed to stay in the room directly across from me, who barked all night long. Despite complaints to the front desk, they finally revealed that they were pet friendly. In other words, they did not want to upset the dog, just me. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this flea trap, so no recommendations from me. This hotel sucks!

Short drive from hotel
Oh, travelers beware: Hawaii has the absolute WORST drivers on this planet. They are unfriendly, rude, aggressive, hostile, and just plain STUPID. NO knowledge/concern about concepts such as "traffic laws", rules of the road, etc. ( I now understand why President Obama has a chauffeur and gets driven everywhere). Drivers beware!

Very good accomidations
Very easy check in. They took our car at the frond door and delivered all the luggage as we arrived in our room. Front desk was very friendly. Room with two very comfortable queen beds was well appointed a nicely equiped bath. This hotel was recently remodled and it has that nice crisp feel about it. Good location a quick two blocks from the beach. Restaurants close by. Nice pool. Overall a good place to stay a couple of days and check out Honolulu before a cruise

Convenient location
The hotel location on the island was perfect for us. We felt safe, it was easy to get around to the places on our list to visit. The refirgerator could have been larger. There wasn't enough room to put our leftover food container plus drinks. Overall the hotel fit our needs.
