Relaxing trip

Would recommend Sun, Nov 15, 2015
What a great time we had! The location of the hotel was perfect for access to the beach and restaurant, we even walked to Diamond Head so near it was! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the pool nice to cool down in the shade. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Filthy Dirty!

Would not recommend Sun, Aug 25, 2013
Had to wait for room to be ready and when we got it it was filthy! I mean motel by the hour filthy! Counters in kitchen we disgusting! Bathroom floor and toilet disgusting! Even though I booked for 3 guest we had 2 towels, 2 hand towels and 1 was cloth for 5 days! Light bulb burned out in bathroom and had to ask for it to be replaced twice. For 5 days only saw housekeeper once, had to ask for fresh towels - 2 given, mismatched and worn out beach towels once, the rest of our stay we washed our own towels. You should not advertise this as a Hotel....far from it! If you don't mind cleaning your own room upon arrival, washing your own linens - if you can get any and having to get your own toilet paper because the maid is MIA. Oh, did I mention the filthy grout, dirty carpet, furniture that looks like it was picked up from the side of the road? Bugs included, got flea bites all over! Do yourself a favor, spend a little more and at least feel comfortable knowing your not staying in someone else filth. I have traveled to 3rd world countries and had nicer, cleaner rooms for a lot cheaper. They need to really raise their standards....or at least check them! Shame on you for even giving this place a decent review! Check out your hotels! Never booking with you again!

Mother with teenagers loving Waikiki

Would recommend Sun, Jun 9, 2013
I took my teenagers to Oahu and our stay at the hotel was great. The location was perfect and I really love staying on the east end of Waikiki. The room was very clean and homie enough for my kids and myself. The front dest staff was terrific in providing more blankets and towels during our stay.

Terrific Staff.....hotel from Third World

Would not recommend Thu, Mar 7, 2013
First room we were assigned had filthy carpet. Floorboards had fallen off and were placed in dresser drawer. Desk clerk (Brent....who was outstanding) was able to move us to a different room. Second room had tiled floors, which were moderately clean. However, there were no towel bars in the bathroom. This is a problem as one is expected to use the towels several days. We realize all units in the Castle hotel pool at this property are individually-owned. But, Castle should enforce some standards on the property owners. This is a property that Castle should be ashamed to have there name associated with.

Dining

Lulu's, steps from the hotel, had good breakfast and lunch. Very good staff and large menu.

Would rather have stayed home

Would not recommend Wed, May 9, 2012
Room was ready at exactly 3pm, and not a second before. Turned out our room was still dirty. After settling into our "new" room, we were disgusted. Looks nothing like the mediocre pictures we settled for. Staff was unfriendly. The room looked like a big lots ad for dorm room furniture. Our floor wasn't leveled, or wasn't stable. The pool was dirty and green from the view of our room. Our unstable a/c unit was on the corner of the window, so you were able to stick your hands out, and lovely blood sucking mosquitos were able to enter your room. There was foil and extra glass underneath the a/c unit for who knows what reason. The sliding bathroom door lifted up, not giving much privacy. There was a good sized beam in the middle of the room, thankfully though, not blocking the tv lol. The bugs behind the floor level window smushed up against the wall was the icing on the cake. The ONLY good thing about this hotel was the convenience of location being so close to the beach.

Money saver

Its cheaper to rent a convertable for the day and tour the island yourself, rather then pay the $80+ per person. Much nicer than being stuck behind the crowded 40+ people, and going at your own leisure.

Perfect location on waikiki

Would recommend Sun, Oct 2, 2011
This hotel is at the perfect location, you can walk right down to the beach. If you like the zoo.... It's literally right across the street. We stayed in room 911, the a. Didn't cool the room off very well. I got kitchenette- there was only a microwave and refrigerator. The room didn't look anything like the pictures. But it was a very nice hotel. Hotel pool was dirty, didn't use it.
