Convenient, newly-renovated airport hotel with all amenities
Best Western The Plaza Hotel is located less than one mile from Honolulu International Airport, reachable via free hotel shuttle. The hotel has 274 newly-renovated rooms, amenities for your convenience, outdoor swimming pool and business facilities accommodating up to 150 guests. The hotel is a great choice for travelers in transit or those who wish to spend a few days on Oahu away from the Waikiki scene. The hotel also offers easy access to Pearl Harbor, Aloha Stadium and area military bases.

Upset in Hilo Hawaii
Best Western The Plaza Hotel
I paid a good sum of money to stay at this hotel, I expected to have a nice room. When I checked into the hotel I was given a room on the side of the hotel. This area looked like the slums, I dragged my bags a great distance to get to where my room should have been. I could not locate my room because there was no numbers on the doors. I then dragged my bags back to the main desk asked the clerk for a room in the hotel, she said "The Tower is booked" She then gave me a room back in the slums, and this room had a number on the door. What a nightmare it was. When myself or other guest pay for a room in a nice hotel that is what we expect. If I pay peanuts for a room I would expect this room to be in the zoo, when I pay good money for a room I expect a nice room.

Convenient to airport
When I arrived they could not find my reservation, which had been made through and confirmed by a well known travel site (O). There was a long wait, but they did find a room. Area is very commercial/industrial but close to airport and very convenient if that is a priority. The room was fine, very clean, good value. On-premises restaurant not open every day.

Best Western? The Plaza
had to get the hotel keys updated each night to get into rooms when staying for multiple nights no continental breakfast-- under the impression was available when booking "clean" towels had hair on them

Great location esp if you want to avoid busy Waikiki area.
Upgrades desperately needed esp. bathroom (tub, sink & needs exhaust fan), carpet, AC system. Other than above mentioned, excellent place to stay if you are there for other purpose than lay in the sun. Very friendly & helpful staff (front desk & housekeeping services)! Restaurant can have more to offer on breakfast menu like Loco-Moco! & also open for all meals esp if you just want to dine in during your stay. :-)

Great Travel location -just hope you don't need to shower
Close to the airport: double check Reasonably priced: check Store and restaurant on site: Score! Pool, up and open: check Working showers: didn't check- and they didn't. boo! Too short of a stay for them to fix it. No reimbursement, eh- still going to warn folks about it just in case you run into the same. Towel washing to not stink for an 11 hour flight within the hour= not cool.

Great for staying near the airport
The hotel is nothing special about the hotel but if you need a place to stay for the night before catching an early morning flight it can't beat. Rooms are clean and it does just fine for a night.

In Hotel
good if you are having a stopover so close to airport,and shuttle is good to airport otherwise you would need to hire a car to get around. there are buses running to Mall and Waikki that take about 25-30 mins.
