Quality of premises
Carpet dirty upon arrival, requested cleaning as I would not feel comfortable walking on without shoes. Living room did not look clean and carpet not vacuumed daily. Cups & glasses not replaced with clean ones if any liquid remaining. Occasion coffee pot not cleaned. TV out of date; DVD player not work well & controlled by joy stick which did not work properly. Continental breakfast really lame. Would not stay there again. Was not worth the money

On vacation in paradise so just wanted a clean comfortable place to sleep and this did not disappoint. Only 2 blocks from the beach which was great. Also close to great shopping and resturaunts. Only negatives were that it needs updating and the front desk staff were not overly helpful or friendly.

good time
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was on the small side but adequate as we did not spend much time in it. Breakfast was small but adequate. The staff was outstanding, very helpful, always friendly. Valet service great.

Excellent Stay
The hotel is very comfortable. The staff is very helpful and frendly. Free continental breakfast is simple but adequate. Kona Coffee is great. The location is great, just 1/2 block from both main streets in Waikik in the middle of the block between then). An easy walk to beach, shopping, restaruants and take-out food. The NFL Pro Bowl block party started right at the end of this street. Great time.

Great location!
I was there for vacation and the pro bowl and the location was perfect for the Pro bowl festivities! We were right in the heart of it and very close to bars, restaurants and a 5 min walk to the beach as well.

ok
Great location, easy walk to activities and shops. Rooms dated with older stereo and tv. If traveling alone on budget would reccomend if for other reason would pass.

very close to waikiki beach
It's very close to Waikiki beach and to the major stores to the tourist attractions. I would recommend this just because of its convenient close point in the map.

Joy
Good location, close to shopping, restaurants and 3 blks to the beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms could have been cleaner, bathroom door, end table, walls need a good cleaning. It is an older hotel but if cleaner would have been just fine and a good choice.

Excellent value in Waikiki
The Aston Waikiki Joy has very spacious rooms, including a seating area and a kitchenette. The rooms were very clean, and (given that it's in Waikiki) the additional expenses for valet parking and internet service were reasonable. A very basic continental breakfast is included. Plus, the location is convenient to the beach (short walk) and good shopping. The furnishings in the room are rather dated, and some street noise can occasionally be heard. But overall, the property was very clean and well maintained. Oahu was all we hoped it would be--warm in weather and aloha spirit. We enjoyed snorkeling in Shark's Cove, kayaking to the Mokula Islands, hiking to Manoa Falls, and wandering through the beaches and shops in Waikiki. Unfortunately, we couldn't get tickets to the USS Arizona memorial, but even the Pearl Harbor historical sites visitor center was interesting. Very refreshing vacation spot for December.
