Nice!

Not a crazy over the top hotel, Does not have a pool and the rooms are small, and the bathroom really small....but for us it was location location location. the width of the street away from the beach, walking distance of everything. the price was fair. we liked it. Staff was solid helped us with whatever we needed, ex. Directions, early check in, late check out, and what not. It worked for us.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

When you cross the street the beach is right there but so are all the people, just walk 5 mins down the sidewalk west of there and you get much more sandy beaches to yourself and far less people in the water. if you have a car take the 15-20 min drive west to Sandy Beach Park, far less people all sandy beaches and waters no rocks or coral for the most part. Also there can be some big waves!

fun and short

The location was fabulous for the price compared to all other places around there. Waikiki beach is a man made beach that has become the main tourist attraction on oahu island, so being able to walk out of this small hotel and cross the street to this beach is definitely easy and comfortable. We stayed on 3rd floor but around 5am everyday, we can hear the street noise and people talking plus the doors slammed on our floor would just rattle our room which made it unpleasant only around this time. We were out all days on excursions and only there to sleep. We recommend this hotel to people who like the beach activities, and run along the city path.

this hotel is older than most other ones around it. it is within walking distance to many stores and restaurants. ABC(Aloha Brings Customers) convenience stores are located at almost every corner.

Great Great Great!!

This hotel was in a perfect location, right across from the beach and in the HEART of the shopping area of Waikiki. Many restaurants are close by and those ABC convenience stores are on every corner that have just about everything you need from toiletries to food and gifts. The room was just perfect for my husband and I. Yes, the bathroom is small, but big deal! We were hardly there anyway. We had an ocean front view and requested 8th floor and above. They granted my request by giving us a 9th floor room with an outstanding view. The room was very clean and the A/C worked great. Car rental places, bus system, and mopeds are very close by. We used all three while there. Most of the staff members were quite friendly. We didn't leave until 7:30 pm our last evening in Hawaii, but they allowed us to keep our bags stored free of charge which was a great convenience for us.

Make sure you check out Hula Grill for beachside breakfast, a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Also, Duke's has great atmosphere at night for dinner. Enjoy!

Perfect location

This hotel has the perfect location right across from the beach. It's also centrally located in Waikiki so I was able to walk pretty much anywhere up and down the Waikiki strip. The room is on the small side and the shower is tiny, but the location and the view really makes up for the room size.

Perfect location but little beat old

Hotel location is very nice because it is just in front of Wikiki beach. You can take only one minute to go to the beach. In addition this hotel has very famous restaurant, 'Eggs & Things'. People always make long line to wait and eat in there, even 6:20 am. Staffs are very friendly and smiling me but the room condition is little beat old and small. However if you want to enjoy Wikiki beach the value would be nice!

Small but cute and in the best location

This hotel is the cutest thing. It is small and dates back to the early 1900's, but that is part of it's charm. There are no frills, but I love it just the way it is. The circular hall when you get off the elevator is adorable. It takes less than 5 min. to get from your room to the beautiful Waikiki beach. The staff is friendly and they keep your room clean and neat. Book an ocean front room. Beautiful!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a man that passes out flyers to a steak and seafood place one block behind the hotel. They serve a great steak with shrimp or fish for about 12 dollars (served with a potato or rice and vegetables). We eat here once or twice each time we go. It is not fancy, but the food tastes great. Don't order tea, get a pepsi.
