Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel

• No room service • Strange elevator system, but worked pretty well once you get used to it • $10/day resort fee • Directly across from the beach • Redbox like DVD service in the hotel included • Valet only parking • Tour pick up right outside of hotel

We stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with everything. The front desk was very helpful, located right across from beach. The hotel was in a great location and provided easy access to everything. We were on 8th floor, partial ocean view is ok. The free breakfast was wonderfully convenient. Would stay again.

Granted, this hotel is on Waikiki Beach and probably gets a fair amount of traffic, it was not a seamless experience from beginning to end. Room was not ready at check-in time and delays getting car out of valet. No free wi-fi, and breakfast could be served earlier (wasn't available when I checked out early morning.. though there is a well-known coffee shop on the same block that opens at 4:30am). Very good location in a less-busy part of the strip at least.

Loved it here. The staff was friendly, it was right across the street from the beach. The room was clean anf the breakfast buffet was nice (mainly fruit and pastries, but you could buy waffles or omlettes if you wanted) The zoo was real close by too. I would definitely stay there again.

If I have next time, I will choose this hotel again. Great view!!!!

This hotel is in a fantastic area. It's at one end of the main beach strip. The beach was being renovated directly across the road. But, there was plenty of good beach area within a 5 minute walk. The Tiki Bar in the hotel was fantastic! The staff was just awesome. The pool was a little disappointing...It didn't get sun until sometime in the afternoon. And, there was no hot tub. But, it was maintained very well and they had covered beach chairs for two. The room was pretty cool, housekeeping did a great job and were almost unnoticed. The beds were small, but extremely comfortable. Shower was awesome too!

The location across the street from Waikiki beach was nice. The hotel itself was nice and clean, but the breakfast was chaotic, poor and stingy.

Had a beautiful view of the ocean although it was a side view, half of the view was the Marriot next door, but the view that you do have is breathtaking. I was on the 22nd floor but had to change rooms because I got a room that shared a wall with the high efficient elevators that are very loud. They were nice enough to change it without a fuss and no charge which was shocking. Drawbacks, there is no microwave or kitchenette so you have to eat out for every meal, and I didn't get a bathrobe. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The free breakfast every morning is not that great, it's not a real breakfast. Make sure to try the Tiki bar and grill, they have live music band every night with al fresco dinig by the water, the khalua pig is awesome.

Location! Location! Location! The room was not all that big, but if you're in Hawaii, you shouldn't be staying inside! The free breakfasts every morning are served poolside and you can even take it 100 feet to the beach.

Aston needs to rethink the breakfast that is included in the package. The pastries are way too sweet, no proteins are on offer, and there isn't enough seating in the breakfast/pool area for the number of guests who would like to sit and relax at breakfast time - makes breakfast a slightly stressful experience rather than a relaxing one. Wifi is free only in the pool area which is a bit small-minded of the hotel and so is the fact that they charge $3/day - decidedly not useful in promoting good customer vibes.
