Surprisingly Good
We had a wonderful time and have great respect for the way this property is managed. The rooms are small and dated, but they are very clean and comfortable. There isn't a lot of space to sit in the room and there is only one chair and a footstool on the balcony. There is an in-room safe, bar fridge and a flatscreen TV. The decor is active. Despite being in a busy area, the room was reasonably quiet when the patio door was closed. Guests are given lunch bags at check-in which are to be used for picking up breakfast. This seemed like an odd idea, but it turned out to be a terrific idea. The selection of food is impressive: fresh tropical fruit salad, cereal, baked goods, an egg dish which is rotated daily, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice, milk and other things. To make these offerings transportable in the lunch bag, they all have to be packaged in plastic containers, which is unfortunate, but it is very convenient for transporting food to the beach or back to your room. The breakfast is served outdoors by the pool and there is limited seating there. If you are early, there is plenty of seating, but later on when the entertainment starts, it gets a little busier. The idea of breakfast entertainment sounds a little corny, but it was amazingly good and makes this hotel property feel a little more like a resort. The staff are helpful and courteous. Beach towels are plush and plentiful. Every part of the hotel is kept clean and orderly at all times. This isn't a five-star property, but it is run so well that it works. The location is the best, at easterly end of the hotel strip. The beach is directly across the street. It tends to be very crowded to the west, but pleasantly uncrowded to the east where there is a public park. A short walk gets you away from the crowd and as a bonus, there is shade available within and along side the park area. There are a number of restaurants in the area, including some along the ground floor of the hotel complex. We liked Duke's at the Outrigger, which is a short walk to the west. There is a trolley, which runs every 10 minutes, to the shopping center for a two dollar fare. The hotel rate includes most conveniences except: high-speed Internet access, which is $9.95 a day or $39.95 a week and parking, which is $20 a day. There is complementary wireless access around the pool area, if you want to sit out and check e-mail. There is also a day of computers on the main floor level which can be used for a fairly steep $.20 a minute. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and would go back to the ResortQuest Waikiki.

Good
Our stay was very pleasant, I had read reviews about problems with the elevator cards, which we encountered once or twice, but no big deal. The room was good, we had a wonderful view of diamond head from the outside of our floor. We also got upgraded to partial ocean view which was wonderful. I really loved having breakfast everyday. The staff was friendly and I really enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay here again. The beach is right across the street, it was great!!! Only complaint is the parking, it?s expensive. About 18-20 dollars per night.

Perfect!
The Resort Quest Waikiki Beach Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The room was big enough for my husband and I. The view was amazing! Having breakfast served by the pool every morning is a very nice touch. The music and hula dancer every morning at breakfast added to our enjoyment. Our dinner at the hotel, and the time we spent in the bar area was also great. Having Wolfgang Puck downstairs is a real treat! Everything we wanted (beach, dining, shopping) was in walking distance. I don't know what could have made this a better trip! We'll be back as soon as we can!

Wonderful location
The ResortQuest Waikiki Beach was in a wonderful location. Easy to get to/find. It was across the street from the beach and next door to a surf shop! The room reminded me of the tropics, but still upscale. The best part was the packs they provided to take your breakfast or other food items to the beach to watch sunrise or sunset! We'll definitely stay here again. Worth the $10 more to be right on the beach!

awesome stay
This was our honeymoon so we wanted everything to be special and it was. The hotel was very modern and clean. The room was comfortable and very stylish. The continental breakfast was well appointed and the little coolers they gave us to take the food to the beach was a nice touch. By the way, the beach is right across the street. The hotel is at the far end of the beach so we had a beautiful view of Diamond Head as well as th rest of the beach area. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Overall Fantastic! Perfect Location! Great Amenities! Nice Stay!
The ResortQuest Wakiki Beach Hotel was a great stay. This was my first trip to Hawaii. What really makes this hotel is all the great little details in the hotel, lobby, the rooms, etc. (i.e. bamboo stick trim, surf boards, photography on the walls, hawaiian them in the rooms, bed coverings, etc) I was really impressed by all the little details they had everywhere. It was very aesthetic. This hotel is right on the main strip. Location is right across the street from the beach. Tons of shopping and dining areas right outside the hotel and within walking distance. The hotels breakfast are decent mostly cereal, muffins, yogurt & bagels from what I recall and a small coffee and juice bar area that's complimentary as well. The coolest thing is you can pack everything into the little cooler bags they give you and either eat right there next to the pool or check out a couple towels and go have breakfast on the beach. I personally would recommend this hotel and would gladly lodge here in the future. Last note, Waikiki beach is definitely the more busy area of the island, there are a lot of tourists, shops and people around walking the streets and beaches, joggers, surfers and the sorts and the place with a lot more action going on. If you are looking specifically for something laid back, quiet and a little more private I wouldn't stay in Waikiki at all and would probably choose the North Shore from what I hear. Though, if your into the crowd and downtown type scene this is the place to be. Cheers.

compact comfort
The ResortQuest Wakkiki was very comfortable, but limited walking space. The bed felt so good, you wanted to sleep as soon as you sat on it. The service was excellent and it it is centrally located with lots of shopping and dining in walking distance. Located across the street from the beautiful blue waters.
