Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel

We like the location but we are disappointed with the cleanliness. We have heard the vacuum cleaner only once in 8 days.....and we had to call twice to get the room clean. It is an okay hotel to stay.

From what I was told, having a honeymoon is perfect in Hawaii and that the hotels are usually very welcoming. During check in, the person did not mention anything about our honeymoon. I had to remind them, by asking for the frame and a picture of the hotel as they mentioned in their emails for honeymooners. She handed me a frame (with no hotel picture) with no smile or congratulations or anything. Our room was right behind three elevators and we could hear the elevators right behind our bed. Room service would take towels and forget to replace them. Valet service was good. And service was okay in general, ie, when we asked for towels we got them. The amenities fee increased during our stay. This was not explained to us during check in. We did not think it was fair to go from $10/day to $18/day without letting us know. After awhile of discussion, they changed the fee to $10/day for our entire stay. The hotel would benefit with a hot tub. The AC was always really cold, and we could never figure how to turn it off. The only way to turn it off (with a sensor) was to leave the balcony door open-but that lets in rain and critters. We were disappointed with the car rental and that they charged extra for my husband to drive. Had we known that it was going to be extra, I would have had my husband make the car reservation in the first place.

I hate it everything about it.. Super crowded, no hot tub,at the swim pull you need it to register for the towels if you didn't bring them back you would've get charge for them, and then after we paid around 600 $ DOLLARS for 3 nights they tell me when i am checking in that there is another fee of 18 $ a day called amenity fee wich incuded some movies in the room some other things that any other hotels offer for FREE ,oh yes and the breakfast apparently was free but no, if you wanted eggs , omelet or french toast you had to pay for it.... nobody goes in vacation and wish is to leave asap.. i did hate it

The only thing good is the location, no room service bad amenities and staff.

Staff was rude. Charged extra $18 per day (mandatory charge) for " extra ammeneties" which included a "breakfast". Breakfast consisted of cold cereal, donuts, fruit and muffins. Not work $18. Pool is in shade and needs upgrade. Was put in a room next to elevator shaft, could not sleep. Overall bad hotel experience, I would never return to Aston Waikiki or any Aston for that matter.

This is a beautiful, clean and modern hotel. I had a great time. My only issues were that the key card to my room kept malfunctioning and it's a long way from the 16th floor back to the desk each time to reprogram it. When I checked in the air conditioning in my room wasn't working and within 5 minutes someone was there and fixed it. GREAT service!

The hotel was in a great location but for the price of our stay I was expecting more. The hotel had no wireless internet and the elevators were consistently broken down. We stayed on the tenth floor with a infant so it was quite an inconvenience for what was supposed to be a four star hotel. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to a friend.

Everything was mis-represented from the breakfast to the amenities. Run down, worn out and beat up

Rooms clean and comfortable bed. The location was great...right across the street from the beach. A bit of a walk though to the majority of the Waikiki stores for shopping. WiFi is unreliable and the staff seemed unconcerned and actually recommended I sit in the pool area to get a connection. Small problem...it was pouring rain and no cover! Nice hotel for vacationing but I would recommend it if your primary reason for being in the area is business related. Onsite restaurant but no room service. No coffee maker in room.

bit dated,needs refub, Breakfast is 'different' line up and get fosties and pastrys then take bag full of food up to room because no room around pool!. Apart from that great location,wonderful island.
