FRESH! REDESIGNED GUEST ROOMS! Guests staying at the Aston Pacific Monarch will enjoy the dramatic enhancements that were completed to the Studio and One Bedroom Suites that offer a contemporary and island-style feel. Room Renovations completed include:
Contemporary bedding that includes a decorative pillow and bed scarf.
New 32" LCD high-definition TVs.
Energy efficient and contemporary lighting with brushed nickel finish.
New window coverings (draperies, wooden blinds, etc.) and new floor coverings including new carpet and new bathroom and kitchen tile.
Customized solid wood furniture and cabinets in a cherry wood finish.
Redesigned kitchen with Zodiaq Quartz countertops and new appliances that include refrigerators with icemakers and radiant glass-top stoves. Studio units will be equipped with a designer series two-burner ceramic cook top.

Beginning on Tuesday, October 30, 2012, the Hospitality Lounge on the 33rd Floor will be closed for renovation for approximately 3 weeks in our efforts to improve the overall guest experience and product at the Aston Pacific Monarch. This closure should not greatly affect access to the restrooms, shower facility or sauna on the 33rd floor, nor will it affect access to the swimming pool deck. Work will take place on Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with minimal inconvenience to the guests.

Wanna live in the islands
Waikiki
Staff was helpful, they knew the area and could always give me excellent directions. Oahu bus service is great and easy to use. Minimal parking in Waikiki. Unfortunatly there was some construction going on that we didn't know about right outside our room (we arrived after working hours). Also the hotel add said airport shuttle. it made it sound like the hotel had its own shuttle available not just on the shuttle route for $11 p/person. all in all, okay place to stay but I would definitely check on construction stuff again. we couldn't use the lanai on weekdays and had to keep the drapes shut.

Cool rooftop pool
Although we arrived early at the hotel, our check-in was pleasant as our bags were kept for us while we went to get a bite to eat. There were many places to choose from and with The Best book given to us by the staff, it was easy to locate dining, shopping, activities, and transportation options. After lunch, we utilized the rooftop pool until we could get access to the room. The room did not have central A/C which was a bit unpleasant if we wanted to keep the curtains open to enjoy our partial ocean view. So, we needed to keep the curtains shut to keep the room cool. Luckily, we were out and about most of the time, so it really did bug us. The kitchenette allowed us to bring back leftovers which was a plus for late night snacking. I chose to visit Hawaii for my birthday and enjoyed my stay. There are lots of things to do on the island and the location of the hotel was a short walk from the beach. Tiki's and Duke's for dinner, VIP transportation around the island, and a luau at Paradise Cove are all exceptional.

Keo's breakfast for under $5.00 is a steal and delicious. Tiki's Grill and Duke's restaurant are beachfront and truly enjoyable. There are tons of restaurants to choose from.
