Aqua Waikiki Wave
Very convenient walking distance to everything I wanted to be near and see. It is literally backed up to the the International Marketplace The room was average in comfort, but needs updating in the bathroom, and the elevator service was very slow. It was quiet and clean and I had a good package deal price .

Roach infested!!!!
Upon return to our room after dinner we walked onto our room and there were bugs in our room and the bathroom. There was also one in the toilet. We further looked in the room and found about 7 more behind the mini fridge. When we went downstairs to complain we were told this was a "common problem in all hotels in hawaii". They switched our room and when we went in we also found a roach. Very disapointing how they handled the situation.

Good service
Between Internation Market Place and Duke Market place, next to Waikiki Trade Center. Close to everything, bus (stop at WTC or front of hotel)/shopping/walking/restaurant/tour pickup, block away to DFS Gallerie center with other luxuries brand (Louis Vuitton, MK, Coach). Two block from beach. Little noisy on the weekend at night until 4am, weekday is very quiet. Free Wifi in the hotel/room. Staff is very nice and helpful. There is chinese seafood restaurant inside the hotel. Computers are available with fee.

If you spend more than 3 days then you should bought Go Oahu Card (google to find the best price, some site will sell 15-20% cheaper) and plan your day with those attraction. Here is how I spend my 3 days: Day 1: - Grand Circle island tour (from 7am-5pm, my kids doesn't like it, and ) - rent the moped (motocycle) free for 4 hours Day 2: - Pearl Harbor & Honolulu tour ('til noon) - Polynesian Culture Center (took bus #2 or #13 or #8 to ala moana shopping center, then transfer to bus #55 - about 2hrs on the bus), if you want buffett and show then you need to call in to get it reservation, (cost: english buffett is $20, Ali Luau $40) Day 3: - Makani Catamaran Sail in the morning - Go get the Waikiki Trolley pass (work for next day) - Stand Up Paddle Boarding (afternoon) - Germaine's Luau (Free as bonus) Day 4: - use Waikiki Trolley to go around the town to: shopping center, walmart, samsclub, diamond head hiking ($1 entrance), chinatown. Dining: Walk about 2 miles or took bus, away from waikiki, everything is cheaper than Waikiki. Otherwise you can choose any other buffet around area for about $20.

Cheap place
Hotel was a good deal for Waikiki. Down in the middle of, walking distance to everything on the strip. Traffic there is a nightmare. There is no place to pull up to and unload your bags, the parking is under the hotel and first come only. My husband had to drag our bags up a bunch of steps to even make it to the lobby. The hotel is also sandwiched by 2 parking garages so it was loud at night with cars. Especially with the hotel having thin walls. Hotel was older but clean. Staff helpful enough. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay on the strip this'll do.

Good location for the value
Pros: -Location - 2 blocks away from Waikiki Beach (7-10 min walk). - right next to International Market. - right next to an ABC store (basically a 7-11). - literally across the street from a popular & inexpensive Udon noodle restaurant. -Clean rooms for its value. -Complimentary beach towels at front desk. -Complimentary wifi in each room. -Microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker in room. *FYI, clear AT&T signal all over Waikiki. Cons: -Gets noisy at night, especially weekends due to the multiple bars and clubs next door (including Zanzabar). -Slow elevators due to having only 2 elevators service 15 floors. (Recommend taking stairs at times) -Cheap non-pillow top, very springy beds. (Not good for side sleepers.) -House Keeping slow to service rooms. -Bath amenities were not completely replenished at times. -Bath towels were sometimes replaced with stained towels. -Must climb somewhat annoying steep steps to enter hotel.

Happy with my short stay
I was in Honolulu for a one day layover and wanted to spend a little time on the beach. From start to finish this was a positive experience. Staff was friendly and provided resources quickly and efficiently, including arranging for an airport shuttle/taxi. I had worried a bit about the noise based on other reviews, but that was not a problem at all. My room had a great view, too!

Don't stay on the fourth floor - our room was infested with a colony of neverending cockroaches. But they gladly moved us to the eleventh floor - where there were no cockroaches. Very friendly staff - free wifi - parking was convenient.
