Big value at contemporary hotel in central Waikiki
The new Aqua Waikiki Pearl is a totally refreshed and upgraded boutique-size hotel featuring large rooms at a reasonable rate. all good except noise inside
Stayed there for 7 days, I am not hotel type person and all I need is a bed and a room to sleep, plus internet access. The room is big, the bed is good, staff very helpful, there's laundry on-site so that is good. The bad thing that may be specific to only some rooms was that being in front of the elevator this room (601) is extremely noisy - there's no sound isolation so the night starts off at midnight with screaming kids and ends at 3-5 with screaming (college) kids or some random people talking on the balcony-corridor; I had to buy ear plugs. The internet is wire only (wifi and iMac in lobby) but uncharacteristically stable and decent speed for a hotel.

Not too far from the beach
Hotel was decent, good enough for the money. If you have a car, it's kinda weird, you have to go park in some off site parking structure a few blocks away. Bring an umbrella cause it wouldn't be too fun to walk it in the rain. No pool. Hotel room was a good size, sheets were nice too.

OK to good hotel
Good clean hotel. It was kinda small room but very close to the beach so were not in room much anyhow.

ok for the price
It was clean room but no view. The A/C was alittle noisy. Could have provided some plates and silverware. Parking was full.had to park 2 blocks away. $18/day too high. The room was very plain but for the price ok. Next time I'll pay more and stay at nicer hotel.

My take on Waikiki Pearl
I spent 11 days here. It's close to the beach, easy 1/2 mile walking distance. Lots of places to eat nearby. Easy access to the trolley and the bus lines. I wish it would have had a gym and pool, next time I'll look for that. Staff was friendly and knowledgable. My room was clean, if I had to nitpick I would say the TV was on the smallish side. Overall, it was a good palce to stay for the money and except for not having the pool and gym I would recommend it to anyone that doesnt need those things.

The Outsider
Hole in the wall place
We were there for a destination wedding and the wedding party stayed at this hotel. The 2-bedroom suites were much roomier than your standard rooms. The nice thing about the standard room was the fact it had a microwave and fridge so it helped to do some grocery shopping and save a few bucks on food. The $20/night parking pass was ridiculous! In the morning you can walk next door and there was Starbucks! If you're trying to save money but want to stay at a decent hotel, this is not a bad place to stay at. I would stay here at Aqua Waikiki Pearl again unless I can find somewhere else where they don't charge you a parking fee.
