A decent value stay
The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the location is a short walk to several restaurants and the Ocean. On the other hand, there are very few "Extras' here. I was expecting a nicer, larger pool area, but there is a nice exercise room. All in all, a decent value stay.

Clean rooms; easy access from Nimitz road; fridge/microwave/lcd tv/wired internet/room safe/newspaper all good; wireless only in loby; $20.00 per day parking; Previously stayed at the Prixce Hotel on most of my trips but no "normal" priced rooms available this time so used Oxxto find one; Next trip to Hawaii--will stay at the Aqua Palms; adjacent to Ihop and local coffee shop on the corner; Recommend balcony room; oh..across from Hilton/Hale Koa so near beach--front desk offers complimentary beach chair/beach towel for you use.

It could not be better than this hotel at the price
I was satisfied with all experience at the hotel. The counter was so helpful, and everything was great. In particular, it was so close to beach and other areas. I will be back next time.

The Best Kept Secret for Locals
I'm not sure how tourist would feel because they may be seeking a grand experience. I fly into Hawaii every other month and stay for a week on business. I ALWAYS stay at the Ala Moana but wanted to change things up. My wife encouraged me to try the Aqua Palms. The location is perfect - IHOP below, Red Lobster and Outback Steakhouse across the street. The room was very clean and simple. Parking was GREAT. And that means a lot in Waikiki; I never had to search for a space. The workout room is very tiny but that is the only downside for me. For business travel, perfect!

Great Value
Good solid value in a terrific location. If your are looking for chic, this is not it. Room was small, but worked for 3 people for a week. Rooms on quiet side of the building that faces a major street. Rooms have a nice balcony. One of the quitetest places I have stayed in Waikiki. Slept with the balcony slider open on several nights. Only complaint is that the wired internet was slow. That really only matters if you are on business.I would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Lost the internet connection one day and had a maintenance person at my door in less than 5 minutes.

Last minute booking
I have stayed at this hotel several times. Its a really good basic hotel. Room was average but adequate for my needs of a one night stay. Not a lot of frills but then not to expensive either. Right across the street from the Hawaii Hilton village for your friends with more money. Easy walk to Ala Moana mall and other areas. Some nice pubs around the corner close by. The staff from my experience was nice. Never had a bad stay there and do recommend it.

Aqua Palms Good Location Bad Timing
The Hotel was great but the timing was horrible. There was road construction right outside the hotel and they could not work on it during the day due to traffic. Therefore a tractor was lifting and dropping steel plates all night long into 4-5am. Needless to say I didn't sleep very well. As far as the staff and the location it was great. Just a short walk to the beach and Hilton Plaza. Very nice, Beautiful sunsets.

Nice for the price
Overall I would say the hotel is a good value for the price. It is a five minute walk to the beach through the Hilton and a 10 minute walk down to most of the restaurants and shops of Waikiki. I had a conference at the Hawaii Convention Center and it was about a 10 minute walk there as well. The rooms were nice enough with adequate space and the beds were comfy. The lobby leaves a little to be desired but the front desk staff was helpful and there is free coffee 24/7. The pool was also a little disappointing as it is very small and located on the side of the hotel which backs up to a busy street so all you hear is traffic. All in all I would say that if you are looking for a very resorty feel this may not be the best place for you but if you are looking for a good value for the money this is your place.
