never again

we attended a surf contest at waikiki beach, so we stayed in waikiki we are kamaaina, but this hotel gave us and others a hard time. I stood at the counter and literally watched 4 other families go through the same trouble as me.

Beeping

Horrible. Could not sleep (which was the main goal of the 1 night stay there). There was constant traffic of buses and trucks moving and backing up (beeping sound) starting at 5:30am right in front of our room. The internet did not work and staff to was not helpful to address this.

Do not stay there!

This hotel was awful, the descriptions of it that were on the website did not match the hotel at all. We could not understand how this hotel had those nice pictures of its rooms and exterior with a 3 star rating on the web. The furniture is very outdated, but that would have not been a problem if it had been clean. Instead it was stinky, dirty, noisy...we checked back out an hour later. We saw this hotel on other websites then as a 2 star, but honestly, it should be no more than a 1 star. We are not superfancy people and we travel on a budget, but this place, we couldn't do.Impossible! We felt like we got fooled big time!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

When you arrive at Honolulu airport, grab some of the free brochures, especially the ones that show specials for the current week. It lists all the restaurants around and puts them in prize categories so you can decide on where to go and how much to spend before you get there.

Debit Card Unfriendly

I booked online with[...] because I have seen all the commericials and advertisments. I got to my hotel and the hotel wouldn't accept my debit card. I had flown 120+ miles and only brought a debit card. They also would not accept cash to pay for the parking( that's all) because the room/tax were paid by me through [...]. I had to call [...] and was put on hold for over an hour to be told that I needed to be transferred to another section to re-book my hotel. Then I was told that my refund would take 5-10 days. Then while speaking to the re-booking agent, we were disconnected or he hung up and no one ever called me back. I am very dissatisfied. Refund my money and remedy this problem.

Good price, not too good hotel.

I guess the saying "you get what you paid for" is very true in my case. The room keys didn't work from the time we checked in. There was no coffee maker. The shower drain was clogged. Hate showering with soap scum up to my ankles.

Wasnt too pleased with the Hotel

Old, outdated, room. It was for 2 people but they gave me a room with 3 VERY small twin beds... I couldn't sleep with my wife! Air conditioner only ran on high, so it was either humid and hot, or ice cold.... Small shower stall, no counter space to do makeup on. It was clean and the front counter personal was VERY helpful and nice. The room was just functionally terrible. Also there wasn't any complimentary breakfast...

Quite the dump

I gave this place a one star because zero stars was not an option. It's a dump, it's in a dumpy location[...]. Do yourself a favor, find a bridge to sleep under.

Price and Location were right

Only stayed one night prior to taking a Hawaiian cruise. Paint peeling off the wall, some mildew in the shower. Would not reccommend
