A local hotel in true Honolulu near shopping and the beach
Totally revamped and refreshingly unpretentious, the two-tower Ala Moana Hotel is an island institution. Ala Moana Hotel is a favorite of Hawaii's neighbor island visitors who love the feel of being just outside of Waikiki. Enjoy front-door shopping, great rates and a short walk to an enormous beach. Ala Moana is one block from the Hawaii Convention Center and attracts groups from the mainland. The hotel's 36 floors and more than 1,000 rooms hardly keep Ala Moana a secret, but a surprising find amidst the pack.

clean,convinient, nice/modern hotel
overall it was great. except for the front desk staff, they were very proffesional and helpfull,but they just take their time to do anything, their work pace is really slow..and they would not rush even if there is a long line..

I enjoyed my stay at the Ala Moana
I enjoyed my stay at the Ala Moana Hotel it is very close to many shopping centers and the beach however the only thing that i was not too fond of was I seen the pictures of the room online which looked pretty decent however when I arrived the bed comforter was cheap and not like how the picture displayed also our bed skirt had a bunch of stains which was not cute other then that everything else was in good condition and pretty clean. Room service and customer service was pretty good and fast however the only thing that was not fast was checking in and out of the hotel

Excellent location with walking
Excellent location with walking distance to Ala Moana shopping centre (where locals shop). Each room in Wakiki tower has a balcony and outdoor table setting. With great view of the city and Wakiki. You must try the hotel Chinese restaurant for Dim Sim lunch - terrific value and authentic cantonness cuisine.

The Ala Moana Hotel is very convenient
The Ala Moana Hotel is very convenient to the Ala Moana shopping centre and close to the Hawaii Convention Centre. I had a room on the 24th floor with a nice view of the ocean and overlooking the Ala Moana beach Park. Staff are friendly, the lobby is gorgeous, amenities are clean. There is a cafe that is open for Breakfast only so you will have to either go elsewhere for lunch and dinner - close by next door is the shopping centre or up the road 2 minutes walk is the Seven eleven, subway and Blazin Steak (which i highly recommend). Of course if you are planning to go out and about during the day and most evenings, downtown and waikiki have many good restaurants to choose from. I liked this location because it was a little away from busy waikiki scene and many people and tourists. Highly recommend this hotel for singles, families, business travellers.
