Nicest Hotel in Hilo

Great location. Although I requested an ocean view room, the reservation was made for a "banyan" view but was able to change(with an upcharge). Restaurant on premises with bar, so-so food, slow "hawaiian" service.

everything is expensive in hawaii, there is a ken's pancake house, its 24 hours, if you eat at ihop or your hotel it will cost at least 30 dollars for 2 people, eat at kens right out of banyan drive

Not impressed at all.

+ Beautiful view. Close to volcanoes. Bed ok. - Bathtub ring; sliding glass door not clean; very old and outdated; wallpaper scraped, patched, and faded; Lighting insufficient; Internet "hookup" on dresser - not a user-friendly location - not wireless. Mirror old and stained; hairdryer, iron and ironing board not included; ice machine removed from all but two floors; very disappointing; could have been a truck stop but paid 3x price.

crazy place to stay

Just for the night before our flight. The place was loud and the parking was terrible. I picked this one because there were no complaints about parking. But it was crazy here and the clerk simply said "good luck" and didn't seem to care. We would not stay here again. They only change the sheets every 4 days. Problem in such a humid place glad to stay only one night.

One Week Stay in Hilo

My room was clean. The hotel was a good location. Close to Mauna Loa, Mauna Kea and Volcanos National Park. Hilo is a very laid back town, not any night life, which I liked for this trip. My only complaint was some noise from the airport. It might not be noticable from the bayside rooms.

A night & A day

Unfortunately we only spent a few hours in the room. Just enough time to catch a few zzz's and a hot shower. Was traveling most of the time from Volcano National Park to Hawi. The front desk was a delight and the room was clean. The room seemed a little outdated, but we were able to rest comfortably. Which is to me the most important thing.
