We Stayed Here Because It Was Cheap
And cheap is what we got. I don't know how they can call this a 2-star. It was at least 2 levels below a 1-star. Anyway this place is a dump. The biggest problem is the clientele they attract. Mostly out of town construction workers, some of who have second jobs at night like trying to sell drugs to the customers in the parking lot. Yeah, this happened to us. They charge you a deposit for the room key and the TV remote. That should tell you a lot about their patrons. The rooms are typical with not much in the way of amenities. The pillows are flat and there were only two per bed. Everything else was okay. The plumbing works and the AC works but not sure how it would do in the summertime. We were there on a warm day in January. If you're looking to save money and just looking for a place to sleep then this is your place. Just take precautions and secure your vehicle. One other thing, this place is located behind a strip club if you're into that sort of thing. If you're on a budget this is the best value in Valdosta.

Japanese steakhouse just up the road past the interstate. Pricey but you won't leave here hungry. Best service and awesome food and cold beer. Hibachi and Sushi available.

Good Value
Not a bad place, just keep in mind that it is a place to sleep... no microwave, coffee maker, or fridge.... the Days Inn has them but at $90 a night, you pay for it. My room this night was $41. Clean place just older.

briarwood hotel valdosta ga
it was was dumpier than we expected .the indoor pool is in a shed out back that is verry moldy there were sections of weave from someones hair in the pool .That night we had a group in the room above us who kept stomping and jumping and running in the room and these people did,nt even have children it sounded like somone was being raped we complained 6 times and the lady working the front could only say she has asked them to quiet down and if we kept complaining she was gona call the police on us !! Imagine that a family of four vacationing at wild adventures is less important to the hotel as customers than 4 colledge kids partying !!!and they didnt even give us towels and if you wanted to watch tv you were charged 5.00

Cheap place to sleep
Its an older hotel. We were disappointed that the room didn't come with an alarm clock like it had promised online or a coffee maker. It did have an indoor pool but you had to walk across the parking lot to get to it. You had to pay a 2 dollar deposit for the room key and a 5 dollar deposit if you wanted a tv remote. For the price, what can you expect. It wasnt a resort, just a cheap place to rest for the night. They didn't have any vending machines but inside the lobby they had a set of shelves with vienna sausages, ramen noodles, pop tarts, etc for sale.

Briarwood Motel - Valdosta GA
It was a place to sleep and take a shower ... no fridge, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board, bath mat, nor shampoo. There was a window A/C unit, internet, soap, a towel and cup for each of us. Who charges a $5 deposit for the TV remote and $0.25 for ice? The staff was nice enough, and it is American owned.

[...] sucks
The sign for the hotel was in the strip bars parking lot and we had to drive around back on a scary/dark road and the place looked like a home for crack addicts. The lady got up to UNLOCK the door to let us in. We asked if we could cancel our reservations and she said no problem and said there would be no canelation fee, we just needed to contact [...]. After finding a much nicer hotel for just a bit more we called and were on the phone for 2 hours ending with us being told to call back at 7am the following morning when a manager was at the hotel. We did so and spent about another hour on the phone and told to once again call back at noon. When calling for the 4th time we got hung up on because the lady obvioously did not speek good english and could not understand what we were saying. we called again and asked for a manager. after calling 7 times and spending about 4 hours on the phone we were told that because the [...] people would not handel it the night before we had lost our money and my account was still being charged.
