Red Roof Inn Atlanta Smyrna

Although it was a decent price the place was in very poor condition. Desperatly in need of renovation. Everything needs painting and plumbing fixtures need maintenance or removal. Very tired, dingy place. This is certainly on my do not return list. I am very leary of your rating system if you rate this as a 2 star.

When I arrived that night at about 10:30 p.m., the staff didn't make me feel welcome at all, they slapped papers on the counter asking for my signature not explaining the forms or the purpose of the me signing them. The next morning my daughter and I were running a little behind on checking out which was at 11:00 am but thought it was at 12 noon and I got a phone call from the front desk that asked if we were staying or leaving and I told the young lady that I was leaving and on my way and her response was, "You need to vacate the room right now." I told her ok and was really disapointed.

ITS OK NOT THE BEST THE PEOPLE ARE NICE AT THE FRONT DESK. ITS HARD TO GET TOWELS IF YOU NEED THEM

Remote to TV did not work properly, the TV cut off on its own every hour and half, rooms needs updating and all lights in the room did not work. Last, I paid $45.77 and the room rates were $36.99

I stayed in the Red Roof Inn in Smyrna, Georgia on Saturday July the 30th. I made my reservation for our stay on July the 24th for 2 full size beds for 3 people and paid in full. After attending an Atlanta Braves game we arrived at the Red Roof in Smyrna around 10:20pm and were not allowed to check in due to a shift change and were told to wait 10 minutes until we were able to check in. After waiting 10 minutes for the the shift change and then another 30 minutes due to a long line of people now needing to check in, we finally were able to make it to the front desk attendant. The person behind the desk looked up our reservation and after around 5 minutes of looking at the computer told us they had sold our room - that we had paid for - and that we had to be "upgraded" to a king size bed. Being 11pm on a Saturday night this did not give us many options so we were forced to stay in this room, 3 people for a 2 person room. My father and I slept in the bed and my girlfriend had to sleep on the floor. The next day when leaving and trying to check out we attempted to go to the office to turn in our key around 8:30 and the office was locked and no one was in it. This is when we decided to leave because of our poor stay at the Red Roof Inn Smyrna. I am very disappointed in out experience in the Red Roof Inn because I was just beginning to use the Red Roof Inn regularly. In fact I had already stayed at the Red Roof Inn Smyrna and I had no problems a few months beforehand, however after this experience I will most likely not stay at one ever again.

The only thing that was missing was a little refrigerator

Second stay in two weeks. Checked in late. In a.m., discovered there was NO door handle to open the door. Fortunately was able to get enough grip to turn & pull hancle post. Otherwise would have had to call the office & wait for them to let us out. What if there had been a fire!

Excellent value. Helpful friendly staff at midnight check-in. Clean room. Bed was fine.

The Red Roof Inn appears to have recently got through a remodel/upgrade. The room had fresh paint and was very clean. The value was not bad and the location very convenient and seems to be in a very safe location with access to a few fast food chains and a Target right behind the hotel. The staff at the lobby were extremely pleasant and welcoming. With this said, paint on the cornice above the curtians had paint peeling off very badly and the fixture in the shower was very loose. The room had a stale/mildue smell and the bed was a bit stiff. All in all, not bad for a one or two night stay, but would recommend a more comfortable hotel for any period longer than that.
