Happy New Year in Savannah!
This hotel was great, only a couple of issues that I could find. B/c we booked through this site the clerk couldn't/wouldn't tell us what our nightly rate was, or if what we paid included the parking fee per night. That was very frustrating as we paid for both rooms and were trying to split the amount paid w/ our friends. The breakfast was mediocre at best, however the negative part was that they allow pets to walk through the door beside the breakfast area...I have a problem with that, I don't allow my dog in the kitchen or near the table ever! And the last thing I want is someone sitting at a table near me with their dog, or walking past the breakfast area while I'm trying to eat. I think their should be a seperate entrance/exit for the pets, especially at breakfast time! I would stay here again, but probably would pay to eat somewhere that didn't allow pets while I'm eating. A lot of that is to be blamed on the humans, my dog is my baby and I love him, but I still don't allow my 90lb (yes, ninety) lap dog to sit with me while I eat. I would also have respect enough for others, to keep my dog away from them while they ate.

Short walk from hotel
I love Savannah, and almost everything in the historic district is w/in walking distance. That's why we chose this location. I love River St and it was right across the street. I really thought this hotel was further down Bay than it was, so it was a great surprise to find it so perfectly located.

Great location & nice hotel
Wonderful location, close to everything. Parking not so great especially at $9 a day-- you pay that and then still end up paying city parking because all their spots are full. Room was clean but you can tell the hotel gets alot of traffic. Despite great location in the middle of things hotel was EXCEPTIONALLY quiet which was an amazing plus. Interaction with various hotel staff coming and going from hotel lobby, ranged from very nice and helfpul to a bit better than a warm body behind the desk. Breakfast great and gobbled up as soon as the staff put it out

Meeting at Savannah Convention Center
The Staybridge was very nice! I came in on a red-eye a few hours before check in and they were able to find me a room, then called to make sure it was OK once I got in. The staff was very friendly and accomodating! The rrom was clean and pleasant, the kitchnette would have been great if I'd brought the kids, but I was at the Convention center most of the day. Probably because of early check in I had a room on the 1st floor overlooking the street but the street noise didn't really bother me, except for one car alarm going off at 3 am, it wasn't an issue. Breakfast had many more options than I've come to expect from a "continental breakfast" - not only waffles and cold cereal, but 2 kinds of hot cereal, eggs and breakfast meats, fruit, and more.

Savannah has better
The hotel is in a good area within walking distance of all downtown. Breakfast is great. Room was on street side and very noisy. We expected a king bed and got two full size beds and a handicap room with a shower that let water flow all over the floor. It seemed that we were given the lesser room becaue we used Orbitz to book. Another man was complaining when we went in about promised room and what he got. No pool at this facility although the web site said there was one.

A Great Ten Days
This was a 45th anniversary vacation to a city we have never visited, and we couldn't have had a better time. We were within easy walking distance of the riverfront shops and restaurants, as well as to the free shuttlebus stop which takes you to all the interesting sites in Savannah's historic district. We only had one chair in our room, but the staff found another for us. Breakfasts were nothing fancy, but more than adequate. The Tuesday thru Thursday evening appetizers were almost a meal in themselves. But, be sure to get a room facing Bay Street, or you might be stuck in an interior room where your "window" let's you look at another guest's front door!

Long walk from hotel
If you're looking for a package liquor store, the only one around is two blocks west of the city hall, on the north side of Bay Street.

Great Hotel
I visited Savannah in Ocober 2010. I decided to go back again this time in September 2011. I stayed at this hotel both times. The location is great, within walking distance to everything. The hotel staff are friendly and accommodating. All the amentities are a big plus. They have a full breakfast every morning with lots of food. Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday evenings they have a sundowner reception with food, beer and wine. The food ladies were the best. Always friendly and kind.Thank you ladies. The room was clean, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. I know this is a pet friendly hotel. The carpet in my room could have used a good cleaning. It was soiled and stained. Overall this is a great place to stay while in Savannah.

SCAD stay
Great location for SCAD w/ restaurants and riverfront at the door. Staff is excellent; rooms clean, but not very big. Breakfast most crowed time, other than that very quiet and relaxed. Parking tight behind hotel, overflow in garage behind (top floor a bit of walk).

Great But
Everything was great, friendly staff, very clean and inviting. The only thing I would knock is their mattress's they use you could feel every spring in that bed. I do have to disclose I sleep on a Nova Gel Mattress at home that does not have springs so maybe my bottom side it just a little more pampered than the rest but my traveling partner felt the same way about the mattress.
