It was OK...

I thought the hotel was just OK...it was about what I expected after reading other comments. The price was wasn't bad, but it wasn't good considering room cleanliness, amenities, and comfort. As patrons, we all have expectations of what a hotel is suppose to be regardless of price, and I did not experience anything in my stay that met my expectations.

horrible idea

This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. The location is not bad, close to historic downtown. As soon as I walked into the room the carpets were well beyond worn out, the bedding had holes in it the "non-smoking" room had a pungent odor of stale smoke trying to be covered by air freshner. All the fixtures had a dingy, rusty appearance. Overall way outdated, and lack of appropriation of funds for upkeep. I would definitely not recommend this masters inn specifically to anyone. Not to beat down other locations but this one has ruined my overall opinion of this chain.

Good cost performance!!

We were four young students who wanted make the trip convenient and low budget, and this hotel was so perfect for our priority!! It is not middle of the busiest streets but it is fairly close to the city. For the good part, it was very quiet at night, spacious rooms and parking although it is only 5 mins drive to the beautiful streets! One concern is our rooms were on the ground level, and we did not feel very secured. Although we did not have any security issues. Well, it is not a beautiful hotel like movies, but I am sure we got enough for what we paid for it. If you are looking for a hotel with same priority as us, this hotel is good.

Not a great place, but ok for the price

The hotel is old, the neighborhood not really nice, and so forth. But if you only need a cheap place to sleep, this place is ok. The room was clean.

You get what you pay for.

This hotel is the cheapest hotel within 5 miles or so from downtown Savannah. We weren't expecting anything nice. The holes in the walls, hard mattress, and worth-nothing pillows were exactly what we expected. We were also expecting, however, maid service daily and fresh towels. We didn't get that. Apparently they ran out of towels or something.

Roof, bed, bathroom, proximity

Memorial Day weekend; cheapest hotel with 4-5 miles of Savannah. It had a roof, there were two beds, and the bathroom was in working order. Anywhere in downtown Savannah was at least triple the price, if not way more. However, carpet was nasty, think there was hair under the blanket (did they change the sheets?) Some questionable people hanging out, but nothing too bad. I'm budget minded, so I deal with this. But I'll be bringing a spare set of sheets next time.

Prob won't do it again....

Came to Sav on biz + plsure trip. Enjoyed the site seeing, tours & all the other lovely things Sav has to offer....must say the hotel is conviently located about 10mins from historic downtown & 30 mins from Tybee Beach....BUT...WHEN YOU KNOCK ON MY DOOR TO DO HOUSEKEEPING AFTER I HAVE THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN HANGING & you don't even have towels to give me...THERE IS A PROBLEM!! What do you mean you have to finish washing first?? It's 9am first of all so that's plenty of time to do laundry from the last day especially since you don't have extra towels on hand in the first place so WHY are you doing housekeeping right now for if you don't have fresh towels for another 2hrs?!?!?!? ! Seriously?? The parking area is spooky. There was a wild looking shirtless man walking through the parking lot one night - so b careful coming in late especially women! The room was muggy, the walls were thin,,i was awakened by security BANGING on a nearby door. Bottomline...you get what you pay for.

This hotel should cost about $25 a night. I wanted a discount rate and belive me it was a discount hotel. This is one of those hotels that rents most rooms by the week. The enviroment is not exactly family friendly but it was a bed and a roof.
