Abercorn takes you right into downtown (street way about 20 minutes)using the highway about 10 to downtown Savannah. It was good for us to sleep in and stay out all night. Breakfast was regular - some cold and warm options. Overall it was the
best bang for the buck. Great staff!!! Give it a 3 out of 5.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Downtown is not far at all. If you make a left on Abercorn you can drive the surface streets to RiverStreet. There's plenty of shopping and a Mall headed toward RiverStreet as well.
Howard Johnson Inn Express was a very pleasant hotel to stay in, Savannah. The check in process was easy and quick with no problem at all.The staff was friendly. The hotel lobby was comfortable and cozy. The room was better than expected. I really
like the fact that hoousekeping was on time and courtious. The location was excellent. Many eating places to choose from, the expressway was 1min away. The t.v. size was bigger than most hotels t.v's. I really look foward to returnig to another howard johnson inn express.
given room 101 made me suspicious. Toilet was not functioning, gave me a plunger to fix, and couldn't; asked for another room and told that they had none. checked out and had to find a room for the next two hours and fifty miles south, and 4
exits later. Worst exoerience in my 50 years of traveling
