Quick Trip

Would recommend Wed, Dec 2, 2015
Entrance to hotel was on the side of the building, took a minute to figure out as I was getting off the interstate and was moving a little fast. Parking was across the street, nice covered parking. A lot of renovation going on inside the hotel but was clean and well marked. Only disappointment was in the morning, you did get a complimentary coffee but everything else was charged.

Stay a the B again

Would recommend Wed, Nov 4, 2015
The hotel is going through a remodel but was disturbed very little. I was interested in the hotel parking and because I had to wait for a few minutes to be checked in they waived the parking fee. In the many hotels I have stayed in I have never been treated better. If I ever go back to Savannah I WILL STAY again!

Nice but some issues.

Would not recommend Wed, Nov 4, 2015
The hotel is quite nice but a little out of the way to restaurants and night life. We checked in and were told about the a.m. breakfast for which you pay ala carte. When we came to the lobby the next morning it was undergoing set up for renovation. There was no furniture in the dining area or lobby and no attendant at the food counter. We asked what was going on and were told someone would be out soon and that there was construction that week. No one had told us the afternoon before at check in. On day two there was no food at all and when we complained later in the day we were told it had been relocated to another area. There were no signs and no one who we had spoken to had informed us. They also do not yet use their own parking garage but rather a city garage across the street. There was a problem with all but one gate being locked on the Monday night and we almost got hit head on coming back as those exiting had to use the only entrance. When we informed them of the two problems there didn't seem to be any concern.

Don't be fooled...!

First trip to Savannah and to be very honest, this hotel ruined our overall experience, so much that we left a day early, that should tell you something. The staff wasn't too bad, although half the time they seemed moody. The hotel parking underneath is closed so you will need to pull up to the front lobby and get a pass to use the public parking across the street, which wasn't too bad, we always found parking. When you walk into the lobby, you will hear the sounds of construction, very very loud construction, we had to be asked to be moved to the other side of the hotel so that I could take a nap. One of the days, one of the elevators went down so I stood there waiting for the other one forever. The A/C in the room is a window unit and is as loud as being in a wind tunnel, no joke, I really didn't get any sleep. The shower head setting wouldn't move so it was set to a permanent hard spray which actually hurt, the hot water lasts only a couple of mins before it runs cold, the water wouldn't drain fast enough so by the time i was finished with my 5 min barely warm/cold shower, the water was up to my ankles. After your first shower, the room will maintain a humidity, there's no getting rid of it, unless you want to have your room door open to air it out, there's no bathroom fan. The in-room fridge wasn't cold even though it was turned all the way up, and it only had 3 legs, seriously, I kid you not. The walls and carpet had unknown quite visible stains, gross. The bed was worn in, but ok enough to sleep if I didn't need the A/C running, but the pillows were horrible, they caved, so if you dare to stay at this hotel still, bring your own pillow. Then there's stupid stuff like, the toilet seat was bigger than it was supposed to be, the toilet calls for a round seat, they put an oval seat on there, very strange and cheap. The second toilet roll holder was missing. This hotel was deceiving and there's no way we'd ever stay there again. Next time, we will spend a little more and stay at Hyatt or The Bohemian, at least we know we'll get comfort and peace during our next trip. If you are more accustomed to 2 star hotels, then this is your place, but if you are typically a Wyndham, Hyatt, Marriott patron, stick to what you know, trust me. Overall, the pictures and ratings were very deceiving.

Nice Stay in Savannah

Would recommend Sun, Oct 18, 2015
This is a very nice hotel in the historic district of Savannah. It is walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The staff is VERY nice!! You pay to park, but well worth it!!! Elevator from parking to hotel. Car is in a safe place and parking is tight in this area of town. The only thing I would change is their breakfast. It was just awful! In a historic southern town with such a nice hotel, there should be an included breakfast with real food. Everything offered was 7-11 style. Microwave sandwich, prepackaged food, OJ that was not very tasty at all. For such a nice facility, I expected better. The breakfast was also expensive. 2 microwave biscuits, OJ, Coffee, and a fruit cup was $15.

Not what I expected.....

Would not recommend Tue, Oct 6, 2015
First time in Savannah, and wanted to experience a hotel with local color away from the normal chains. Check in was a hassle, as there was only one clerk on duty, and he apparently was knee deep handling issues regarding reservations with the two people ahead of me so the wait was a bit longer than I anticipated - almost 20 minutes just to get checked in. Parking is extra, which was ok, but it's in a public parking structure, a significant distance from the hotel. Hotel itself was fine, but my room's air conditioner was very noisy, which made sleeping difficult. I normally like to experiment with an independent like this, but may reconsider that next time.

Excellent location for quick entrance to I 16. The hotel felt safe and quiet...staff were courteous. Parking is $12 a night additional. Awesome coffee shop 2 blocks away! We walked to Johnson Square and River Street...tracked 10,000 steps daily. Hotel elevator inspection expired 4 months ago.

Quick business trip

This place was OK, nothing special. I didn't have any issues, it just seemed kind of generic. Also, if you are looking for a pool specifically, this isn't your place. There is a pool, but it is too small to do laps, and as it is indoors I'm not sure why anyone would bother to just hang out there.

Great location, but still under construction

Would recommend Sat, Sep 19, 2015
This hotel is trying to rebrand itself and missed some of the basics. No coffee maker or tea in the room...did not advertise that the breakfast was a buffet which was overpriced. The bed was uncomfortable. Hopefully, they will make the necessary changes soon. The location is great, the room was clean, and the staff was nice.
