Hometown Inn ATL-Riverdale

When we got there, there were no more rooms avaiable and it took the night desk person almost 2 hours to get things stright. I suggest the this hotel comes off the site. Had it not been for Bryce in Customer Service who got us an immediate refund and tried to find us another hotel we would not be using this site again. Thanks Bryce for keeping us valued customers. But we will NOT be EVER booking this hotel again. Thank you for the best customer service I have ever experienced. I will be booking with this again and again and again. !!! Cannot say thank you enough for making a bad situation good again!!!!

it was inexpensive close to the highway and had a kitchen ... prettyy decent room and clean.

The sstaff at this hotel was plain RUDE!!! Not accomodating in any way shape or form. We went to another hotel.

It was okay just didn't have a remote to work the tv. Had to ask a couple of people about a iron. other than that it was and ok trip

I had thought about doing a review on this place at first then decided against it but after I read the other reviews I thought I should. The place from the outside, especially at night looks grand. And then the sun came up....the place was messy and the grounds could have used some upkeep. The inside of both the rooms I looked at were disgusting, they smelled of cigarettes and something "sour". The carpet looked "slick" with grime. During the time I spent outside the place I was accosted by men giving me the "eye" and going out of the way to be what they would probably call "nice" to me. I was very uncomfortable. The place reminded me of the kind of atmosphere were people who are "down on their luck" stay. Not that I have anything against anybody I just think it should be kept private, not so public that you may be here because you are out of work or can't afford anything better. There appeared to be loitering and people yelling across the parking lot for cigarettes and total strangers asking me a lot of personal questions. I decided the place was not for me and called the booking agency to refund my money and find another place for me.

It was absolutely horrible. Theres a reason why they dont show you pics of inside the rooms. It was a disaster i checked in and checked right back out. I was so scared to pull the blanket back let alone sleep on the bed. I was out of there. Please please please do not stay here your feelings will be hurt :(

We used 3 GPS systems and could not locate this place! There were no signs no nothing! When we called the hotel no one answered and we let it ring for about 3 minutes. So if you mark late check in dont expect to hear anything if you get lost.

The hotel looked nice from the exterior and the security staff was very helpful. The hotel doesn't have a 24hr office staff, so I had problems getting room and also checking out in the morning. The hotel room was clean looking, but the bed had a strong odor of sweat and alarm clock was encrusted in something sticky. There is no coffee or shampoo in the room, at least as far as I could find. For extended stay they have a cook-top, microwave and refrigerator which were all clean. The rooms were large and pretty open. I found it very convenient to the airport. If you stay here, make your reservations early and to plan to leave late. Meals or groceries have to be purchased away from the hotel, but there were 24 hour options available fairly close.

MY SON AND I WERE GOING TO THE ATLANTA MOTOR SPEEDWAY TO WATCH SOME NASCAR RACING. WE WERE UNABLE TO GET A MOTEL IN HAMPTON DUE TO EVERYTHING BEING FULL SO WE DECIDED TO STAY HERE. THE MOTEL LOOKED CUTE FROM THE OUTSIDE BUT LET ME TELL YOU LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING. THIS WAS THE NASTIEST MOTEL I HAD EVER STEPPED FOOT INTO. FIRST OFF WE WENT IN AND CHECKED THINGS OUT. THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A NON SMOKING ROOM AND IT STUNK LIKE CIGS. THE TRASH CAN HAD NOT BEEN EMPTIED IT HAD LIQUOR BOTTLES AND CIG BUTTS WHICH STUNK ALL IN IT. WE WALKED UP FRONT TO SEE ABOUT CHANGING ROOMS BUT WAS UNABLE TO GET ANYBODY AT THE FRONT DESK. WHEN WE FINALLY DID THEY DID NOT HAVE ANOTHER ROOM AVAILABLE. I WALKED MY SON BACK TO THE ROOM AND HE LOCKED HIMSELF IN WHILE I WENT TO GET OUR BAG. WHEN I GOT TO THE DOOR I UNLOCKED IT TO LET MYSELF IN AND MY SON HAD LATCHED THE INSIDE LOCK WHICH WENT FLYING OFF THE DOOR. YOU COULD TELL THE WAY THE MOLDING WAS THIS DOOR HAD BEEN KICKED IN. I WENT BACK UP TO THE FRONT TO ASK FOR A SCREWDRIVER TO FIX IT. THE MAN GAVE ME A KNIFE BEING SO HE DID NOT HAVE A SCREWDRIVER. DID NOT EVEN OFFER TO FIX IT. AFTER WE FIXED THE LOCK WHICH WAS NOT IN THE WALL VERY WELL WE WALKED DOWN A BLOCK TO THE H MART AND PURCHASED SOME BLEACH TO CLEAN THE TOLIET, SINK AND TUB. WE GOT BACK TO CLEAN AND AS WE WERE CLEANING FOUND A CRACK PIPE BEHIND THE TRASHCAN WHICH HAD NOT BEEN EMPTIED. BY THIS TIME I WAS ABOUT TO HAVE A DUCK. I WENT BACK UP TO THE FRONT IT WAS ABOUT 9 AND THE DOORS WERE LOCKED I WAS UNABLE TO GET A HOLD OF ANYBODY. WE WENT BACK TO THE ROOM AND PULLED ALL THE NASTY COVERS OFF THE BED BUT THE FITTED SHEET, CRANKED THE HEAT UP SO WE WOULDNT FREEZE WITH NO COVERS AND WENT TO SLEEP SO WE COULD HURRY UP AND LEAVE. THAT NIGHT THE PEOPLE ABOVE US FOUGHT ALL NIGHT. IT WAS HORRIBLE!! THE NEXT MORNING BEFORE OUR FEET COULD EVEN HIT THE FLOOR WE HAD TO PUT OUR SHOES BACK ON GRABBED OUR STUFF AND CHECKED OUT. WE BRUSHED OUR TEETH AT A MCDONALDS DOWN THE STREET. WE WERE READY TO GET OUT OF THIS NASTY, STINKY, SMELLY DRUG HOLE. I TOLD THE LADY UPFRONT WHOM DID APOLOGIZE AND SAID, SHE WOULD LET HER MANAGER KNOW. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL TO MY WORST ENEMY. IT WAS SO NASTY. WE ALSO FELT VERY UNSAFE WE HAD PUT ALL 3 CHAIRS FROM THE ROOM UP AGAINST THE DOOR. IF YOU WANT TO STAY HERE FINE BUT IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEM. I FELT HORRIBLE KNOWING MY CHILD SLEPT IN A ROOM THAT HAD JUST RECENTLY HAD CRACK SMOKED IN IT. I CANT EXPRESS HOW NASTY THIS MOTEL WAS.
