Howard Johnson Inn Marietta

We were traveling between Florida and Ohio. This hotel was near the halfway point, and looked nice online, including independent reviews I checked out. The room was ok, not as nice as I would have thought considering the reviews. When we arrived at our room (it is a Motel, not a Hotel, rooms only accessible from the parking lot) our door looked like someone had run into it with a car, it was so banged up it made me nervous staying there with my toddler. When we got into the room it was fairly clean, but when we tried to shower that evening after a long day on the road we found we had NO hot water, either in the sink or the shower. I've stayed at hotels that lacked hot water before. In the third world, not in Georgia. No thanks! I wouldn't stay here again for any reason.

The location is okay to Atlanta downtown. But the facility is old and not comfortable enough.

The room was pretty much your average hotel room, nothing really special. It's hard to be accurate though because for some reason they assigned us to an handicap accessible room. The staff seemed to be very nice. I would probably stay again. Also they get props because the allowed me as a 19 year old to be the reservation holder where others would not.

I was pleased when I walked in, the room was bigger than I expected. Lots of space. Bed comfort was average, nothing fantastic but what hotel bed is. Had a sitting area, frig, better than some of the higher priced hotel rooms I've been in. Overall I was happy with it. Was kinda hard to get onto the road that leads you up to the hotel, had to cross 4 lanes of traffic in a short time after exiting off of the interstate. but if you stay in the area it works, Ruby Tuesdays, KFC, McDonald in walking distance. and I got a great price overall. Would recommend.

the hotel was ok for the price I paid, it wasnt the worst and it wasnt the best, but its was nice. I will come again

I traveled overnight with grandson and daughter. We were visiting Atlanta and hotel wasn't but 20 minutes from there. There was a great selection of places within 5 to 10 minutes from location. The room was clean, water was hot, linen fresh, cable worked, it was quite and we felt pretty safe. Only issues I had was that they put us in a conjioning room and the people next door kept opening the door and after we left our room that evening for supper our keys didn't work, but staff fixed key problem right away. Staff was friendly and very good with 3 year old.

Good Hotel, in a quiet area by interstate. Room was clean, came with a refrigerator and microwave. Great service.

The staff was friendly, the price was great, large clean rooms, older furniture and decorations, comfy beds. No mold was seen anywhere. The only two things that I didnt really like were that the pool was closed, and that breakfast was only served 6am-9am. This hotel was nicer than I expected for the price. It was in a safe and secure area too. There were cameras in the parking area, and the outside was well lit during the evening. Convenient access to the interstate. Mcdonalds and Ruby Tuesdays were within walking distance as well as a gas station. Didnt spend a lot of time at the hotel because I was there on business, but it was a good place to sleep. I would stay there again.
