Not pleased
I came into Macon with my fiance for my friend's wedding. Booked this hotel a few weeks in advance. Having lived in Macon for a few years I knew the area was decent. Hotel seemed nice and clean on the outside and in the lobby. Our room was a different story. First night we got there it was raining and fairly late. We laid down, watched some tv and fell asleep. Heard water dripping, figured it was the rain. Turns out the roof was leaking and completely saturated the carpet. Told front desk, they said they'd take care of it. When we came back into the room later that afternoon, we requested a new room. They gave us keys to another room, but told us the carpet should be mostly dry. Went to get suitcases out of the old room, and the floor was still soaking wet. Paint was running, etc also. Went into new room mad that we'd been lied to. Had to wait about an hour for housekeeping to finish making the beds. Left for rehearsal dinner, came back late again, and fell asleep. Woke up next morning, and once again (in a different room) floor was saturated and paint peeling in this new room. Was upset that I'd wasted money on this hotel, figured it was 1 more night, so just slept in the second room. Told front desk when we checked out that the second room was leaking also. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again. The staff (minus one guy at the front desk) didn't seem to care about the problems with the rooms.

Clean and comfortable
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable with Tempurpedic mattresses and comforters. Flat screen TV's, small fridge in rooms were great. We only stayed briefly and left early morning so didn't utilize the breakfast facilities or gym facilities. We would definitely stay here again.

OK if Basic is what you are seeking
One night on business. Room was OK but lacked anything special or inviting. Despite being a Tuesday night with not many customers - they tend to group people next to each versus spacing us apart. Woulda been nice NOT to hear my neighbor's TV at 11:30pm since most of the 3rd florr was EMPTY! Staff not rude but also far from friendly. Just do their job and move on. Good access to highway, basic free breakfast. Would I stay again...I don't think so.

Great Place to Stay!
We were traveling from Maryville,Tennessee to Tallahassee Florida, and Macon was about 1/2 way. We could not leave until after our son's football game,so we did not arrive until around 3:00 a.m.. We were so tired, any bed would have felt good, but were we pleasantly surprised!!! The beds were soooo comfortable, we slept like babies. Thanks Wyndham for making our short stay such a comfortable one!

SMELLY, RUNDOWN ROOM WITH ROACHES,
I chose this location because I was travelling alone back from Orlando to Kentucky. I chose a Wyndam thinking it would be safe, clean, and the least of my worries on a 2 day roadtrip, but i was terribly wrong, it was the worst part of the entire trip (flat tire included). The room was on the first floor and when I came in it immediatley smelled of bleach and mold. Knowing it is located in a valley in the south, I shrugged it off thinking it was no big deal. I grabbed dinner (which there are plenty of places to eat nearby) and brought it back to the room and relaxed. After dinner, I jumped in the shower. The shower curtain was ripped horizontally (between a plastic bubbly pattern and a plastic solid pattern) so water got everywhere in the bathroom (hence the moldy smell). I was only staying there one night so I used the extra towels and mopped up the floor, again not thinking it was such a big deal. I went to the vending machines on the first floor to grab a water bottle before bed, but found that not only were the vending machines completely unstocked on the first floor but the fitness center next door "under construction" (i use quotations because it looked like no one had made any progress for months), so I went back to the room (after a trip to the second floor for a working vending machine) disappointed that I would not be able to get my exercise in, before the long drive. I read for a while until 1:30AM and decided to turn in. When I went to put my book on the night stand, a roach was scurrying out from under the alarm clock. I immediatley jumped up and grabbed a shoe to kill it, but found another scurrying across the bed THAT I WAS JUST LAYING IN. I grabbed all my things and went to the front desk to request a room change. I explained my reasoning for wanting a room change( (roaches), without an apology, the lady said the room next door was available. I looked at her like she was crazy (NO I DONT WANT THE ROOM NEXT TO THE ROOM WITH ROACHES). And asked for a room on the second floor, which she did so again without offering any sort of apology, making me paranoid that the hotel must have a roach problem that she has gotten used to customers complaining. Needless to say, I did not sleep well for fear of having a roach crawl across me at night.

Short drive from hotel
About 30 minutes away from the hotel, in Juliette GA, is the Whistle Stop Cafe (from the movie Fried Green Tomatoes), worth a trip if you have time.

"No Restfull Night Here"
Room smelled very strong from cigarettes even though it is a smoke free hotel. Blow dryer was out of order and when we requested replacement we were told they didn't have any. Kids were running up and down hall playing tag games for hours(When we were trying to sleep). Small pool, that was not very attractive. Towels for 3 people, though we were a party of four. Housekeeping was leaving our room as we entered and four of us was standing there so she knew we needed four. Requested towels, never got them. On the positive. If smoke doesn't bother you the room was otherwise clean and neat. If you can sleep with noise bed was comfortable. The price was very good and close places to eat. Would I stay again. NO

Nice,clean,convenient place to stay
We had a very nice visit to Macon and discovered a great getaway place for future trips. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Loved the beds and nice linens. Nice little restaurants downtown and of course the museums were very well done. It would have been nice to have the whirlpool and exercise room available.

Very enjoyable visit .
Very good. We didnot receive towels on one day, this was corrected. Our friends who had also booked for 4 nights were checked out by the hotel after one night. [...]We were pleasantly surprised at how much there was to see and do in Macon. We found some great "nonchain" restaurants and filled up three days with sightseeing. We would highly recommend Macon for a "mini" vacation.

Short drive from hotel
Cherry Street in Macon had many neat restaurants with both outside and inside dining. Also try H & H for "soul food," NuWeiner for great "hot dogs" and Fish and Pig for BBQ and Catfish. Warner Robins Free Air Force Museum was only a 15 mile drive. You could spend a day there.
