Extended Stay Deluxe Macon - North

When I opened the non-smoking room door I was hit by the smell of stale cigarettes. The clerk (a smoker) had kindly started the heater up in subfreezing temps but I later figured out that the heat combined with dust from the heating unit had awakened smells. My room was changed. I didn't need my room heater because the hotel heat kept my room in the 60's (I breathe better when it's cold). The clerk was courteous throughout my stay. I thank them for promptly resolving my problem. Room was comfortable, it a little shabby (but what can you expect today for $70.02). It had a fairly well kept up kitchenette and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom only so-so. Overall cleanliness good. I settled in for two nights very comfortably.

I really enjoyed the makeup of room and the location and the friendly staff, however, I could hear every door slam on the floor in my room. It seems like someone was going in and out of a room every 10 minutes..I didn't sleep well because of the noise from the hallway. Also, there wasn't an iron in my room so I had to go to the front desk to get one. Additionally, upon entering the room, I noticed that the oven door was left open and it was on 250..I don't know why so I turned it off...it seems like someone had been cooking in there because there was a pizza pan on top of the stove so I didn't necessarily feel the kitchen area was thoroughly cleaned.

I was extremely, pleasantly, suprised with the accomodations and the cleaniess of the rooms. The room's accessories really enhanced the stay. The exercise facility was small and the treadmill was out of order. There is an additional charge to access the internet, nitpickey. The location was convenient to multiple food places, dinning and grocery. I was placed beneath early raising, heavy foot and a door slamming psyco tenant #1.
