Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Atlanta Six Flags, GA

We went to this hotel for a romatic weekened get away and we wanted to relax in a hot tub so that was a major reason we chose this hotel. We got there only to find out that their whole pool area would be closed for a month. Needeless to say we were very dissappointed.

Never even unpacked my bags. First set of rooms reeked of smoke and we were not on the smoking floor (5). We we tried rooms on 2 and 4. Second set of rooms were dirty and had bug parts in the bed. Staff said "they had recently had rennovations and something may have dropped on the bed". Under the covers?? Front desk said we would not be charged. 2 days later, charged. No surprise there! Multiple attempts made to contact Manager Pam Chambers (even as we were leaving the hotel) over the course of 3 weeks via email/phone and received NO RESPONSE. This is unacceptable bevahior. Very poor business and customer service. The worst I have ever experience and my husband and I are platinum members at Marriott. Manager Pam Chambers lied about receiving emails/phone calls. Then laughed when we told her we had logged a complaint through Country Inn and Suites Customet Service. I am amazed that she even has a job. Save yourself the time and money and stay somewhere else. This is a nightmare!!!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights for a Braves game and the hotel was in a perfect location away from traffic and the room was impeccably clean. The bed was wry comfortable as well! Definitely recommend!

I truly enjoyed this hotel! There is a pool, jacuzzi, free breakfast and the staff was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. There was only one problem, I couldn't turn off the airconditioner or adjust it, but it was hot enough that it wasn't a problem.

Hotel staff friendly. Pool reeked of chlorine...I've always been told if you could smell chlorine then there wasn't enough in the pool/hottube. Breakfast surpasses all other complementary free beakfast ..not your norm free breakfast.

We had a good time. It was close to Six Flags. The staff was great.

Good - one of the few major chains that still have "smoking" rooms. The staff is very attentive and of generally good cheer. The amenities are fine - indoor pool, weight room, fridge, microwave, etc in the room. Not so good - keycard would not work on the perimeter door; when it was re-keyed, it wouldn't work on the room door! (never worked on the perimeter door); soda machine was removed on my floor the 1st day and gone all week; only decaf left in room (got reg from the front desk) The really, really not good - saw two small bugs in the room the first day; a hair on the shower wall; the hvac unit is impossible to leave on auto - too hot or too cold and always too loud

I am highly dissapointed with this hotel to say the least..Fisrt off we got a smoking room and there was no way to vent the smoke with 3 children in the room as well. The windows was nailed shut the vent in the bathroom did not work. We asked severl times for someone to fix the vent and it never happened. We also asked for some air freashner and we was handed a bottle of bathroom cleaner. Only one of the plugs in the room worked. The main reason we chose this hotel is because it had a indoor pool well the pool was ice cold no heaters running so the kids did not get to go swimming!! Ghetto ghetto ghetto thats sums it up!!!!!!

The hotel was extremely clean, quiet,& efficient. The beds were extremely comfortable with quality bedding unlike some hotels we previously stayed in at a higher price. Very affordable and comfortable. Absolutely loved the later check-out time after a long day at SixFlags the whole family needed to sleep in.

I travel a lot, and for the money, if you want to save another $15-20 you can stay at quality Inn or Comfort Inn or Days Inn, because this hotel is just like those hotels. The exterior building is pretty but the room just average 'Inn'. Even it's kind of those 'little bit low than average' Inn. If you plan to go to Six Flags, I suggest you find hotels/Inn right next to Six Flags, at least it saves you parking in Six Flags $10(right before entrance) and $15(six flags parking)
