Red Roof at Kingsland
We stayed there the night before we went to Cumberlan Island. A nice, clean motel at a good location.

"GREAT SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY"
WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR VISIT TO CUMBERLAND ISLAND. THE ISLAND RANGERS WERE GREAT. IN FACT, THIS WAS A VERY FRIENDLY AREA OF THE COUNTRY TO VISIT. OUR HOTEL WAS LOCATED JUST A SHORT DRIVE FROM THE FERRY, THE LOCATION WAS GREAT FOR DINNING AND SHOPPING. I WISH WE HAD MORE TIME TO SPEND. THERE WAS A FLEA MARKET AND SOME INTERESTING SHOPS WE WOULD HAVE VISITED IF WE HAD HAD MORE TIME. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A HIGH DENSITY AREA THERE WAS A REAL LAID BACK QUALITY. I NEVER FELT RUSHED OR BEING PUSHED BY ANY OF THE HOTEL STAFF. VERY PLEASANT AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE.

Short drive from hotel
THIS A GREAT AREA. PLAN TO SPEND A LITTLE MORE TIME THAN WE DID. WE SPENT TWO DAYS. YOU COULD DOUBLE THAT AND STILL HAVE PLENTY TO SEE AND DO. IF YOU FORGET SOMETHING IN PACKING THERE IS A SUPER K, WALL MART AND A NUMBER OF DRUG STORES IN THE AREA. TAKE SOME SUN SCREEN AND BUG REPELLENT, THE SAND FLIES WERE VERY HUNGRY.
