The only suggestion I have is to designate handicap parking spaces with ramps surrounding the elevator on level one parking.

Awesome Clean Quiet Hotel

We were very pleased with our room. The hotel front desk was very courteous. Breakfast was awesome, we had hot waffles, bacon, omelets along with cereal and sweet roles, etc for breakfast to choose from every morning. The breakfast area was very clean and the ladies over the breakfast area were very helpful and very nice. Our room was very clean and quiet off of the main street (only a block away). Would definitely stay again if we ever go back. Thank you Hampton Inn in Helen, GA for a very pleasurable stay.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Hofer's bakery is only a block away and very authentic. We ordered pastries to go and picked them up to bring back home. They also have a nice variety of German food to purchase to bring back home also. We ate lunch there and really had the food was awesome.

Good, Clean Place to Relax

We were very impressed with the location of the hotel and how quiet everything was. The only real thing that we could complain about was the comfort of the mattresses. They weren't supportive at all. So other than the back pain, the trip was great!

Do not visit the Troll Tavern. Absolutely unacceptable service. Food did not live up to the lofty price tag.

Weekend Motorcycle Trip

Large room! Was quite pleased that it had a kitchenette and "living room" area. This room worked out perfect for four adults.

Weekend in Helen

Great location! we could walk to everything we wanted to do and see. The hotel was on the river and the scenery in Helen is beautiful, especially this time of year. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included - a bonus! A bit pricey for a regular room, but considering the area and time of year, understandable. We went for the Oktoberfest. The beer was good, the food disappointing - not authentic German food:(

If you're going for the German food, stick with the authentic German restaurants, not the Steak and Bar and grille places.

Take picture ID (license) for many restaurants as you turn the ID in for a beeper....no wait longer than 30 min, and entertainment everywhere while you wait..

Great Stay

The hotel stay was very nice. The location was excellent, just one block away from all the action but right on the river! The breakfast was delicious. The only downside was some of the staff weren't well trained and not up-to-speed on the locations of attrations or hotel amenities. That said, we WILL stay there again when we visit Helen.
