Ramada Limited & Suites-Airport East/Forest Park

great value, large clean room and fantastic location to attractions

Worst experience in any hotel. Lost our reservation, we had many rooms reserved. Forced some of the party to stay at the hotel next door. Ended up in smoking rooms, very Nasty!

The Ramada Limited was the least expensive name-brand hotel I could find, and my stay corresponded well with that fact. The room itself was quite large split between a living area with fridge/microwave/coffee maker and the bed/bath area. The surroundings, linens, and accoutrements were dated, but clean. The carpet had several replacement patches, but again clean and otherwise quite serviceable. Bath was split between a large sink across from the double beds and a separate closed-door toilet/shower. There was plenty of drawer space for a month's worth of laundry, a medium round table with two chairs, a large couch, and a very hip 25" TV (color, even). Continental breakfast was prepared by a very kind, attentive staff member from 6-10am every day. Those aspects made the room worth the limited cost. On the down side, the wifi did not work in my room, and I was told, "one of our access points went down... and the company that handles that for us was called, but they haven't come out to fix it, yet." They didn't come out in the four days I stayed at the hotel, but at least I could access the interwebs from the breakfast foyer. Inconvenient, but again, serviceable. I tried to use the exercise equipment the first morning I stayed, but found serious deficiencies in each of the four pieces - from loose screws in the bike and elliptical, to a treadmill that dangerously halted at any pace faster than a walk, to a combo weight machine likely with some bent stabilizing bars. Running is possible in the area - I did it - but not highly recommended due to the very high volume of semi- and dump trucks in the area (unless you like deep breathing diesel) and limited sidewalk or trail access. So, the bed was comfortable, hot water plentiful, and breakfast available - but don't expect fringe benefits. Some have complained of plane noise given the close proximity of the airport. While I tend to have the room fan/heater/air on for white noise (which functioned well, by the way, as a heater and noise-maker), I did not hear any significant air traffic during my stay (or room or hall traffic for that matter). I also read several complaints before reserving my room that patrons were upset their refrigerator was not plugged in when they arrived. I believe therein lies the rub. If you're looking for amenities like pillow mints, spend the money and find another hotel. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, inexpensive room that you can sleep in, this may be the ticket. As an added bonus, I will say the sugar citrus soap is absolutely delightful.

Couch was worn out and the high speed internet had only one bar out of five and was too weak to connect to the internet.

Hotel was in good location and people were nice. Good little breakfast and convenient. Rooms were ok but need to clean spots out of sofa and carpet. Service was good.

The staff was very friendly, room was extremely clean and organized...

Hotel was quiet and spacious. Well lite rooms. No restaurant on site, but in walking distance. Had food delivery service to compensate.

When we checked in we encountered our first problem. We booked 2 smoking suites for Labor Day weekend. Upon check-in, we were told there were no smoking rooms available[...]. She told us all the smoking rooms had been booked, I told her "yes, and two of them are mine"! [...]. She was rude and not accommodating at all.We checked in, very unhappy, went for supper and came back [...].The next moring we asked to talk to management at our Hotel, and it was amazing! Within 5 minutes they switched us to 2 smoking rooms! We were amazed at the service and the apologies we received from them for the desk clerk from the previous night. Apparently they have had many complaints about her and the manager was going to "deal with her attitude" .So after that first night, our trip was wonderful![...]

Just needed a place to stop and rest after arriving in airport after midnight. Took us longer to get their than internet had led us to believe.

stayed 2 nights and went well 1st night, 2nd night toilet plugged up and no plunger in house at all. they had to move us to another room. coffee pot was dirty. went from 1 king size bed to 2 full size beds. not the best of neighborhoods, you might wanna stay indoors after dark
