A lot to be desired
A hotel stay is rated upon how you are greeted upon arriving, who your next door neighbors are(how much noise they make,) and how the hotel remedys problems if there are any. Also, thanking the guest when they check out is a must. That being said, my experience was not pleasurable because the walls of this hotel do not have sound attenuation board to deaden the noise from the other rooms. The exterior walls are thick but the windows are not...therefore you hear the cars on the main road if your room faces that direction. I had reserved for two guests with one bed. When it turned out that my guest wanted a bed of their own...the hotel charged me $ 20.00 for the upgrade. Anyway, I would try another hotel..but you might have a better experience.

Nice stay for a good price!
We were in town briefly for our son's graduation from basic training at Ft. Benning, GA. We had driven 20hrs. straight through to get there & ended up there @ 9 a.m. way before check in time, but they had a room ready & let us check in early! The staff was friendly, room was clean but the cont. breakfast items left a bit to be desired.Sure wish we would have had a coffee pot in our room though! We stayed 2 nights & were off again. The location was great!Close enough to shopping, restaurants & Ft. Benning w/out being too congested. Our room was a noon-smoking room & we were suppose to be on a non-smoking floor, but there was heavy smoke smell through the hall. All in all, the stay went well. Would we stay there again? Yes.

Good place to spend the night.
No coffee pot, no iron as advertised. Room floor was pretty bad with what we think was chips. Toilet ran all night but we did have 2 working lights out of 4.

very satisfied
Never stayed at a Microtel Inn before and was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very helpfull and the motel was very clean. Will stay at another Microtel on next trip!

Basic training graduation
As a military mom, I was in town for the basic training graduation and the staff was so nice and I loved that the motel was so easy to find for a first-time visitor to Columbus. I would definitely stay here again!
