Excellent value. Staff does not get any better. Best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel; menu changes daily. Food always fresh. Excellent choice of food. Long serving hours. Room was good; could use an easy chair or two instead of table and chairs, but no big problem, comfortable beds. Only potential problem in the future: someone has opened a pet motel next door and barking dogs could be a problem----were not for us. Excellent choice of a mid class motel/hotel

A fine experience
The motel was conveniently located from the Interstate. We were welcome by the staff at the check-in desk . We were given a room on the 1st floor so we did not have to carry our luggage up steps which can be difficult for two handicapped individuals. The staff told us about the hot breakfast that was available in the morning and it turned out to be more than anticipated and was delicious. In all, it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

The motel is just a 6 minute drive to a large shopping mall with every type shop available, a large movie theater with 15 attractions and a large number of excellent resturants. The desk clerk wrote a very informed direction detail for me to follow that made it easy to get there.

Great location near Fort Benning Army Base
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Columbus Airport for my son's Graduation from Army. Everyone at the Hotel all the staff was so polite and nice. Cleaning staff always smiling saying good morning, ect. smiling. Hotel staff very helpful with anything that we needed. Breakfast great every morning. I wish the people in the town where I'm from were as nice as the people in GA. I've stayed in a lot of hotels but I must say I enjoyed the staff at the Hampton in GA the best. Thank you for all of your kindness.

Old baldy
Everything was perfect,no complaints whatsoever
Staff was very polite and helpful. The room was super clean and everything in place. The breakfast bar was fantastic and the staff went out of their way to take care of our every needs and requests. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants first rate service and accomodations. We were in Columbus to visit with relatives and celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary. The location was good as it was very convenient to the places we visited. This was one of the best accomodations we have experienced in our many travels.

Needs work
Well, it COULD be a good hotel--if better managed. From the welcome sign with the L missing (thus reading "we come") to the 20 minutes it took just to check in, to the bruised fruit for breakfast, to the 15 minutes it took to check out, this was a pretty grim experience. Guests seemed like an inconvenience for the staff. I travel a lot, and this is NOT the basic competence I find at most hotels.

overall good experience
The location is good but please note that it is an exterior corridor hotel. Took staff about 30 minutes just to check us in, no one was in a hurry and it just seemed very unorganized and a little too relaxed. Other than the check in, it was pretty good stay.

A Great Value in a Great Location!!
Location! Location! Location!! It means a lot in business, and it is unsurpassed in hotel selection. The Hampton Inn-Airport in Columbus, GA is THE right choice for access to the airport, downtown, and Fort Benning, GA. It is in proximity to great golfing, and only minutes away from great shopping at a number of notable retail facilities. Top this off with an outstanding breakfast (including making your own waffles), and you'll agree - this is the lodging of choice for this area.

Check out a place called "Picadilly's" in a nearby shopping center - it is great family dining at a reasonable price. The cafeteria style buffet provides a real assurance for the finicky that the food is safe from human contamination as may be felt in other buffet restaurants.
