Super 8 College Park/Atlanta Airport West

I stayed here waiting for my husband to fly in on a different flight as we embarked on a trip to North Carolina. Super 8 properties in other cities are far better. The front desk clerk told me she was "pretty sure" there was not someone already checked into my room and to "just come back if there was". I DID NOT SLEEP I was scared the whole time I was there. There were questionable people all over the parking lot drinking beer and smoking and wandering around. The police were called to the property at least once that night. I was too scared to leave to get a bite to eat. The room was grimy and nothing like the photos. The walls were patched poorly and the vents had tons if dust coming out of them. Breakfast the next morning was dreadful. ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN TRAVELING ALONE (OR WITH KIDS) - DO NOT STAY HERE

Mirror was broken, found what looked like pubi hairs in our bed on the sheets, also found hairs all over in the bathroom (floor, tub, & toilet) it was obvious whoever cleaned the room did a very poor job. There were stains on the wall near the bathroom sink, also the tub did not hold water, as I wanted to take a bubble bath but was unable to do so. The shower head sprayed all over when it was on. Pool wasn't open even though it was 80+ degrees, and the constant sound of airplanes taking off & landing got annoying by the time we checked out.

Staff was friendly and room was clean. Only problem was the bathroom door would not shut.

The location / rooms / staff is good, but the maintainance (Pool, Overall building) & approach road really needs some work

We went to spend the weekend near 6 Flags at a reasonable price. We got what we paid for!Cheap!! The hotel specified that they offered a free 24 hr shuttle to airport, so we drove down and decided to take the Marta to site see in the area instead of dealing with the traffic. We were told to go to airport and take train from there.When we requested the shuttle to airport the front desk told us there was a fee of $10.00 per person to airport. What?? Hotel advertised free airport shuttle- we were told that because we drove down that we had to pay for the shuttle. I told manager that they need to correct their advertisment to specify that. I was already upset because we had 3 people in our room and they only supplied 2 towels and bathclothes. We had requested another set for our teenager and was told we had to turn in the dirty ones first! To add insult to injury, when we got back to airport we called to request a shuttle back to hotel they told us that it would be over an hour wait for the hotel shuttle. By this time we were just tired and angry. I did read the other comments here before suggesting to my husband that this would do- but I warn you- do not stay here! Very bad location, rooms are dingy and the bedspreads had stains and burns all over them!! Terrible, terrible, terrible!!!!

This is an excellent hotel at an affordable price. It's only 5 minutes from the airport and the satff were very friendly and active. The room was very clean and comfortable. Most importantly, they give free transport to and from the airport ! I couldn't have found a better hotel to stay in such a place !

Poorly Maintained: Heater was slow in warming the room. Toilet seat was very loose. TV remote didn't work. No extra blankets in the room.

Days Inn College Park was a HORRIBLE experience, in a HORRIBLE location! Folks were just standing around outside watching us check into the hotel. Our room was at the back of the hotel and it was PITCH BLACK on the whole back side of the hotel! No lights, no nothing! Perfect location for a robbery/homicide! The hotel staff was rude and provided no help. The hotel was in almost like a vacant lot kind of area, there is NOTHING else around. Scary, scary, scary. Needless to say we checked out and went to the Days Inn in Morrow, GA. That one was 100% better! But then we found out the desk clerks there must've stolen and sold our credit card info becase it is being used in GA and NC! Sad!!!

I'm going to slam this particular Days Inn, so you may rightly wonder why on earth we stayed there past the first night. We only slept there, coming in late and leaving early, and it seemed like too much of a hassle and additional expense. The room was what I would expect to find in a seedy area of town, not at the edge of an expressway and near to a number of other mid-range hotels. The heating/air conditioning unit was more than just noisy--we couldn't sleep with it on. Additionally, it looked like someone had taken a baseball bat to it. But it gets even worse: two of the light fixtures were missing bulbs, there was no remote for the TV, the sheets and towels were threadbare, the wall outlet by the sink was hanging by a screw, the mattress was lumpy, the carpet felt dirty and there were only two small, well-worn bath towels for a room that was booked for two people. We called to the desk when finding the missing light bulbs and were told there was nothing that could be done until tomorrow morning. She apparently couldn't leave the desk to go to the stock room and walk over to our room. When I went to the office in the morning, a woman wrote down what was missing and assured me that no charges for the missing bulbs and remote would show up on my bill. She said she would take care of it, but nothing had been done when we got back to the room late that night.
